My daughter purchased 10 of these cushions to use when she practices yoga and other exercises It is a great tool for meditation practice. It is made very well and is chemical-free. Her garage has a large zippered tote that she stores them in when they are not in use. Since I have had them for over a year, there has never been a sign of bugs. They look as good as they did on day one.

The pillow was delivered to me on May 17th, and I checked the hulls straight away to verify that they were both clean, dust-free, and bug-free. My hand is covered with husks when I stick my hand into the hulls and my hand comes out covered with brown dust. Now that it is the end of June, I opened the pillow a few days ago to find the inner pillow covered in brown dust. It is not right for there to be this much breakdown in a matter of weeks. I've spent some time researching it and have come to realize that imported buckwheat hulls are required to be roasted before use to kill any pests As a result of roasting, the hull becomes drier, brittle, and prone to breaking down. You would need to use a pillow with hulls grown in the United States if you are looking for hulls that will not break down easily. It is pleasing to see that both the zippered inner pillow and the outer pillow cover are of good quality. In that regard, I have no concerns or complaints. The shape is appealing to me. My favorite feature of the pillow is the handle for carrying it. Moreover, to clarify, the sea hulls are, for the most part, still operational. As of just a few weeks ago, there was no dust in the hulls. Now, however, there is a lot of dust present in the hulls that wasn't present just before. Despite our best efforts, the brown dust has for the most part been contained by the outer cover. A buckwheat pillow was listed for $30 on the site, which isn't bad for a pillow made of buckwheat. It was basically a pillow case and cover that I purchased. From my point of view, the hulls are worthless. To fill, wash, and replace with better quality hulls, I plan to empty and wash the pillow. It is not a pillow I would recommend.

This cushion is also highly durable, with a good strength, filling, I only had a problem because I had ordered a burgundy one, but I received a black one instead. I didn't bother to exchange it because it was not a big deal for me. I must also emphasize that my husband did not find the pillow particularly comfortable. He found it to be too low and flat.
