It's a lot more durable than the other exercise mats I've bought. I work out about four times a week. Since I started using it last week, I've used it six days a week and it hasn't worn off. It will not fold out of place if you do jumping jacks or skater jumps on it. On wood, tile, and rug, it has a very secure grip. The knee pad is excellent for providing support to the knees, forearms, and hands, particularly when performing plank exercises. If you're taller than average, it also serves as a great extension to the mat; overall, it's sturdy and supportive.
I needed a thick enough yoga mat to keep my tailbone, pelvic bone, bony elbows, and other joints from hurting during each exercise. I was always using folded towels, dirty pillows, and other such items for this purpose, and I still got bruised on occasion. I've only had it for one day, so I can't comment on how long it will last, but so far it's been great! I did abs, prone exercises, and other exercises without any discomfort! It's long enough that I don't need a second mat underneath it, which has always been a problem with these thick mats. When unrolled, it can also lay flat rather than curl up. It has a carrying strap, doesn't smell funky right out of the box, and includes a knee pad. That was also something I thought was really cool. So far, I would definitely recommend it! EDIT: br>br> It's probably not the worst mat in the world, but it's already tearing up with light use, so you can't do anything that requires you to step on it with your shoes on (planks, for example). Because it's a little slick, you'll have to take your hands off the mat if you're doing pushups. The worst part is the customer service; I was supposed to receive a free gift from them and only received an initial response from them. After months of waiting, my gift did not arrive, and I sent several follow-up emails to no avail. So, if something goes wrong with your order, don't expect any assistance. For this reason alone, I would order from somewhere else. In my opinion, excellent customer service is just as important as excellent product.
It's a little too soft - It's kind of like a cross between cheap memory foam and the water noodles you used to swim with when you were a kid. So, if you're looking for a firmer surface on which to balance, this isn't it. It might be comfortable for things like situps, but if you need a solid place to stand, I'd recommend going with a different brand and 1/4 inch instead of 1/2 inch. It's still usable, but it's clearly made on the cheap. If you move this from place to place or travel with it, expect dents and dings to appear quickly. It doesn't have a strong chemical odor, but rather a "sterile" medical odor, if that makes any sense. One side has grooves, while the other is as smooth as any mat I've ever seen. As a result, if you want grip, you must stand on the ribbed side (which I find odd). I'm lucky enough to have carpet, but if you have hardwood or laminate, the smooth side down will likely slide it around too much. Just a word of warning. br>br>I'm going to use it because it's still functional. If I had known about the issues, I would not have purchased it; instead, spend the extra $10 or $15 on something nicer that will last longer and you will not be disappointed.
I unrolled it and set it aside in a spare room for a week to let it uncurl. I became extremely nauseous after only a few minutes of using it the first time. I became aware of a foul, chemical odor emanating from the mat, which was overpowering me. I threw it on the back porch right away. It's been three weeks since it was put outside, and the odor is still there. It will have to be returned because it is unusable. The carrying strap also left permanent indentations in the mat, but that seems irrelevant in light of the foul odor problem.
My yoga matt was never delivered, and I've been unable to locate it. I wish I had the ability to give this a fair rating.
The knee padding also helped me progress to full push-ups; it was definitely a good investment!.
Experience with Amazon Purchases: Zero Stars This purchase takes home the prize for the longest time between order and delivery (ordered May 13th, delivered June 2nd). In fact, I attempted to reschedule it. a number of times As a result, the order status was alternately "Delayed," "Lost," or "In Transit" on Amazon. So that wraps up the PRIME experiencebr>Product Evaluation: So far, the product has lived up to expectations (i. e. , it's a good product). The small mat is a nice extra, as it is long enough for someone who is 6 feet tall and thick enough to be comfortable on wrists and feet. I can't speak to durability, but the two-year warranty is a plus.
I've told all of my friends about this mat. On Amazon, the best deal on an exercise/yoga mat in terms of quality and price!.
