I wouldn't do it. In chlorinated water, the shorts will fade and wear out quickly; they are designed for open water swimming in non-chlorinated water.
In the United States, they're made by hand.

It's impossible to believe how small these are! I usually wear an extra small or small, but in these I would need a medium. I'm 5'2" and 120 pounds, and I ordered an xs first, which I could barely get on because the waist band was so tight! I ended up trying a small, but they're still a little too tight for me, and leaning over on a bike squeezes my waist like crazy. The quality is good, but even if you order a large, I doubt these will fit anyone who normally wears a size larger than a medium!.
It suits me perfectly. Even when I don't use it, it works well. I really like it, but it's either too small or my butt is too big for it. I prefer my gear to be snug, and I normally wear an 8, so I figured the medium would suffice. No go. I can see stretching damage at the seams after about four or five wears. The medium top is perfect--it's not too tight and not too loose. I could probably put more boob in it (that I don't have). /Sigh. I guess a little lipo and a boob job are in order for me.
We all like them because they're comfortable tri shorts with a fun pattern and pockets (though the pockets are small). Is this amount of money justified? No, I doubt it. However, the majority of tri shorts are excessively expensive. br>br>Also, I rarely size up, but I had no choice with these. I normally wear a medium, but these required a large (I tried both sizes).
Material is light but supportive, and the design is adorable. Slightly tight/race fit, but very comfortable and flattering. I'm a little over 5'1 and weigh 105 pounds. XS- is the standard. The XS would not have fit, so I'm glad I went with the S. I'm in the S- category with this brand. M without a doubt. I like the pockets because they are practical and don't add bulk like other shorts with pockets do. This is the second set of Zoots I've purchased. My other two are my go-tos for any single or combination of swim, bike, and run activities. These are likely to be as well.
Maybe those of you who say they're great for long bike rides have calluses that I don't, but there isn't enough padding for anything longer than a 10-mile ride. They are, however, extremely cute and deserve an extra star for it. If you buy them, make sure you get some padded underwear as well.
It's a dream to wear - In the crotch, it does not chafe. Cotton is warm, but fabric is cool. Colorfastness – Simply wash with cold water.
They don't ride up, they don't have sausage legs, they have very comfortable padding, and they are a great length. Excellent value for money!.
This pair of shorts is incredible! I rode my bike for 5 hours today with no problems. br>The padding isn't overly thick, but it gets the job done! br>The fabric is light and airy, and the prints are fantastic! br>I believe I will also purchase the top. br>Excellent product and brand!.
