Swiftwick socks have been a great fit for my husband, who is a very fast runner. He has expressed a desire to slowly trade out all of his other running socks for these. Each Christmas, he sheepishly confides to me "I wish that it were true. . . " During this year's holidays, my friend bought me Swiftwick socks once again. My first experience with running socks was simply that it isn't a common item in a store- Even though I haven't worn these socks yet, I must say that they are quite good.
Their comfort and durability make them a good choice. Tops can be found in different lengths, which I appreciate. Those two shoes stick to my feet better than the zeros (they don't slide down into my shoe, but they don't compress) or Normally I wear a size 10 in athletic shoes, but a medium works just fine It's fine for me, because my shoes are padded, so I don't get blisters from socks wrinkling up in my shoes. They stay in place, so I don't get blisters from socks slipping down or on top of my shoes.
My feet have not had any blisters or discomfort due to wearing these during the Honolulu Marathon in very humid conditions.
This is a very nice pair of socks. They're thin, with good compression and wicking properties. According to the picture, each of these ankles measures two feet high, but they are in fact four feet high. If you are hiking on a dirt trail, you should not get white, since they will never stay white.
Swiftwicks were on offer at last year's Little Rock Marathon, so I bought one pair of shorts and one pair of longs. Trying to recover from an Achilles injury was easier on the long one, but the short was just as comfortable as ever. It's not enough to just run outside with nothing else. I now have 6 pairs that are different heights and colors. I'm very happy with how the kit fits, feels, and supports me.
It can be compressed a little for optimum performance. I like it.
Having worn compression socks for a long work day on my feet, I have been experiencing no foot or leg pain in the morning or at night.
