There are no beeps or sounds coming from it.
There are three buttons to choose from: I believe there are three options: go, stop, and reset. As a result, the display can be seen at all times. It's all zeros, action counting, or pause counting. I haven't needed to turn it completely off, but I imagine that removing the battery would be necessary.

Yes. On the bottom of the back, there is a small battery door. To get to the battery, you must unscrew a small screw. It uses an AG13/LR44 button battery, according to the information on the battery door. It appears that opening it will necessitate the use of a very small Phillips screwdriver. There has never been a need to replace any of them. (I've got two) Because the stopwatch is held together by three additional screws on the back, I doubt a small child would even notice there is a battery inside or how to remove it.

The advertisement is extremely deceptive. Because of the way the ad depicts three stop watches and discusses all of the variations, it appears that you are buying three stop watches for $19. I was looking for three sets of stop watches for my children, but only found one. They need to make it very clear that there is only one stop watch. Allow people to choose a color to indicate that you're only buying one stopwatch. Many other sellers had packs of two or three for a few dollars more than $19, and I would have chosen them. We also got a color that wasn't advertised at all, a purple and blue combo that my kids despise. And color is everything to little girls. Deception and disappointment are two words that come to mind when describing this experience. I would advise ordering from a more transparent and trustworthy seller. I have one because the item came with simple buttons for kids to understand how to use it, but it is uncomfortable to use for their small hands. For small hands, it's a bit too big. I would not recommend this product.
Because I'm a school psychologist, I needed something simple that didn't require me to worry about a "lap" button or look at which button I was pressing. I didn't want it to make a lot of noise, so this is perfect. Except for the audible clicks of the buttons being pressed, that is. If this doesn't work out, I'll try another type in the future. I'm satisfied with it for the time being.
About two years ago, I purchased three. I used two of them on occasion, but they can run out due to the lack of an off button. I finally got to the point where I needed to replace the batteries in the two I was using. That can't be done. The third one, my spare, was not activated (the tab separating the battery from the circuit was not removed), and once I pulled the tab (it had been stored, unopened, in its original package), it no longer works. So it'll last a couple of years if you use it once or twice a month, but at that rate, it'll only last two years.
The money was well spent. I bought it for my six-year-old daughter to use in her school reading log to keep track of her time. She uses it to time her sister holding her breath in the pool, as well as for reading and her mad math minutes. Mom is finding the timers on the exercise machines to be a little too tricky, and she now believes 1: 00 represents 100 minutes and comes to an abrupt halt. doh! So I'm going to hide the seconds and only show her minutes. The simple buttons "hit green, hit red" also appear to be preferable to the more complex digital timers. The watch appears to be in excellent working order, and I have high expectations, provided Dad can model and assist. Both stopwatches were purple and blue, which was unfortunate. I suppose I could write their names on the watches, but that wouldn't be as effective as color coding. There's no way to request specific colors or get in touch with the seller privately, Learning Resources - Maybe there is, and I'm just not sure how to go about doing it. When this happened to another customer, I noticed that the seller sent a watch in a different color, so I wrote this review in case they still read the comments. I'll try writing on them if that doesn't work out. Alternatively, if the watches are satisfactory, I may order another as a "color lottery"! It's only a test, but let's hope it works out.
You wouldn't believe the things they come up with, and it even works to encourage people to clean up after themselves. They do work, but they aren't aware of it: ) It's also tough and has a long battery life.
