Hello. No, only one mode can be used at any given time.
The countdown begins at 99 and continues until the final number is reached: 59, with a stopwatch that counts up to 99:
The alarm can be set to beep, vibrate, or a combination of the two. However, in response to your question, each program can only have one alarm type.
You'd have to program it for 45 seconds, 10 seconds, and four sets, but it won't count down the one-minute rest period. For the third interval, I simply use my watch.

My first Gymboss miniMax (new-to-me) came in the mail. unused) purchased from an eBay seller on December 12, 2014. This review is for that unit, not the Gymboss miniMax I recently purchased on Amazon to replace the first one on January 31, 2018. br>br>Before the middle (SET) button stopped working, the first Gymboss served me well for a little over three years. This Gymboss was only used to keep track of my time on the elliptical trainer. The Gymboss was never exposed to sweat or other elements that could have harmed its durability because of where I placed it on the trainer. I'm not sure how tough the unit is in harsher environments. br>br>Over the course of three years, I used this first Gymboss at least 200 times. Except for death, nothing lasts forever, and I believe I got my money's worth out of the unit. But I had to disassemble it to see if I could figure out what had gone wrong, which turned out to be a no-brainer. br>br>The attached photo shows where the middle (SET) button broke away from its four solder points on the circuitry board. If my soldering skills were more than rudimentary at best, I'd attempt to solder the button back to the board, which I might try anyway for practice. I assume the soldering on these boards is done by machine, but the minuscule points where the middle button is soldered might challenge even the most seasoned of human solderers. br>br>It's easier said than done, but if Gymboss changed the design of the middle button from recessed to protruding, like the other two buttons on either side of it, there might be less stress placed on the middle button's soldering points, and I might still be using this first unit. If the Amazon-purchased unit outlasts the previous one, only time will tell. br>br>Overall, I liked the first unit well enough to replace it with a Gymboss. But it would have been nice if the first unit had lived to be 51015 years old instead of succumbing at the age of 3 years and a month.
But first, I needed to figure out how one worked so that I could figure out what I was looking for. For me, it was a case of trial and error. The GoFit Go Interval timer was the first thing I tried. I realized that the interval times had been set in advance. 30 second, 60 second, 90 second, and 120 second intervals were determined. And then there are the sets - or in circles - were additionally pre- determined, but only for a few moments I can choose how long I want to hold a stretch for, how long I want to rest between stretching, and how many sets (or rounds) I want to repeat these intervals with the Gymboss miniMAX. I'll be able to use it to do circuit training with it. I'll be able to use it for the Calloway run as well. walk- method of execution: I programmed this timer to allow me to run for 5 minutes, then walk for two minutes with an audible beep and/or vibration, followed by another audible beep and/or vibration to repeat the sequence. br>br>I can save my static stretching and circuit training as P1 (Program 1) and P2, respectively, as well as my run-based training as P3 (Program 3). walk- P3 (Program 3) elapsed times This is a convenient feature because it allows me to select a previously saved interval session without having to re-enter the interval information. Each time I want to use that timing sequence again, I must re-enter the information. I could even add a P4 to vibrate in 4-minute intervals to alert me. minute intervals of my progress during a leisurely cycling time trial or sprints This is something I just came up with! br>br>I have the ability to save up to 20 different programs. The intervals can be set anywhere between 2 and 10 minutes. It takes 99 seconds to complete and can be done as many times as you want. Another feature I like is that I can choose between loud and soft alarms (on the menu display, loud is indicated by a capital 'B' and soft by a lower case 'b'). I can also choose between a strong ('V') or gentle ('v') vibration for this timer. I also have the option of selecting any combination of these options (e. g. , , which beeps and vibrates at the same time). If that isn't enough to pique your interest, it also includes a clock and a stopwatch, as well as a variety of color combinations. I went with a camouflage pattern. br>br>I looked at, bought, and returned a number of timing products that either had too much or too little of what I needed. I didn't order the Gymboss MiniMAX at first because it wasn't listed as Amazon Prime; I wanted guaranteed two-day delivery. I chose to forego faster shipping in exchange for a product that could be "the one. " 'I placed my order on Wednesday morning, and it arrived the next morning - It arrived in time for me to go to the gym! My Final Assessment: br>br> Because of its versatility of features, small size, and clip, this timer is well worth the extra cost. I also purchased a Gymboss armband, which was available separately. I included some instructional detail in this review, including information that I initially found confusing as I tried to read the simple but microscopic printed instructions. I wholeheartedly recommend this timer, and I'll be sure to brag about it to my fitness friends who value interval training. It turned out to be exactly what I needed in terms of a timer!.
I use it for more than just working out - I like that it clips onto my laptop screen when I'm doing pomodoro work sets. br>br>updated dec 2018br>I've been using Gymboss for yearsbr>br>Sure, you could download a mobile app on your phone - However, you don't want to take your phone with you when you're working out. For my exercise and outdoor activities, I like having a timer set aside. Perfect size; I now have two, one for work (which I keep clipped to my computer and use for pomodoro) and the other for exercise. It's ideal for people who want to live a more disciplined life.
You can set it to vibrate, beep, or both, so you won't bother anyone at the gym unless you want to. I've jogged in sub-zero temperatures with it on, sweating all over it, and it just keeps going. Perfect for any interval training, circuit training in intervals with multiple timers, and just what I needed. I use it at least once a day for jogging, both indoors and out, as well as jumping rope. There's no need to look for a clock or watch anything while working out because the wristblets' vibrations signal when it's time to begin or stop. Purchase one and have fun!.
