The installation was easy and the fit was excellent

It took me about 20 minutes to install and was an excellent fit. In order to get to the bolts behind the motor, I had to buy a set of long shank allen wrenches. As far as the install was concerned, it was simply The new oring seemed thin in comparison to the old one so I reused the old.

This will be a direct It could be changed only in terms of color, if desired. Some people claim the oring is not the right size, but I found out the oring is made to fit this unit and the factory one is bigger around and tighter when used with this part either would work but the original one requires pushing down a bit. I opted for using My wallet may be damaged, but I wouldn't hesitate to replace it. I went with this because it was a good price and I hope it lasts. Got to be as good as the yamaha part since it didn't hold up with only 80 hours on the motor.

This unit is the same as the OEM unit, and is about half as expensive

It works just as well as the OEM unit (see pic), and I still have the old one. A more expensive set would have come with a thinner drive shaft and plastic ring. The seals at the electrical connections were well-done on the one that came with the unit.

I ordered a trim motor as an exact replacement, and it was delivered promptly I'll post something in a couple of As stated in the O Seals for the ring and plastic interconnect union that connect the motor to the hydraulic pump were thinner than what was originally installed, so I reinstalled them Replaced the original two parts with the new ones and put the spares away We are satisfied with the performance of our new Trim Motor.

The ring that came with it was too thin

The motor fit and worked perfectly on my 2012 90la Yamaha, but the ring that came with it was too small. The new one wasn't working, so I had to use the old.
