My XL was a medium in size.
My husband is wearing a large, and they are a generous fit rather than a tight one. I believe the small will fit youoo, but it will not be too tight. However, for the price, they are a good quality pair of pants.
These are genuine Adidas jogging pants.

They're not as stretchy as they appear. These are a nice, roomy fit, and I'm wearing them in a UKXL. After a wash, they felt better and have become more comfortable on a daily basis, so I will definitely be purchasing more. I had hoped for more elasticity, but I'm willing to compromise because the fit is so good.
I'm a 5'4" woman who weighs a little less than 140 pounds. For working out, I prefer men's clothing because women's clothing is always so tight and focuses more on fashion than function, unless you want to spend a lot of money. I usually wear a S in Champion and Russell sweatpants, but after reading comments on here that these run small due to the lack of stretch, I went with a M. They're a little long, but the cuffs keep them from dragging, and the M fits my frame just right for vigorous exercise, with just the right amount of bagginess and comfort. $20 for good workout pants is a steal, so I ordered another pair. I would strongly suggest it.
I bought these pants for both casual wear at home and going out/running errands, and they're perfect for both: they have zippered pockets, drawstrings that can actually be tied together, they fit comfortably, and they're warm. The fact that they aren't stretchy or elastic at all is the biggest drawback for me. I can't even squat or lift my leg past my knee without getting a cramp in my crotch. If I need to squat or lift my knees or legs up for any reason, I have to pull the pants up in the thigh area like an old man, and I feel like that renders these pants practically useless. br>br>I gave it an extra star because of the comfort; these would be perfect if they were stretchy.
Because the material isn't very stretchy, these are a little uncomfortable for me because I have large thighs. They appear to be comfortable, but if you have a large thigh, you should size up or purchase a different pair of pants.
I ordered a medium, but they were too big for me. And, according to the label, they're mediums. Even with the drawstrings tied as tightly as possible, the legs are several inches too long and gradually slide down. They're supposed to be slim and tapered, but they're actually quite baggy. Because I'm a weightlifter, my legs are quite large and still slack. I have several pairs of Adidas sweatshirts, shorts, and track pants in medium that fit perfectly, so I'm not sure why these are so large. They are, however, very warm and comfortable.
I would not buy this product again. The fabric isn't to my liking. 100% polyester (recycled water bottles? )br>I've only worn them twice, and while the size and quality are satisfactory, I'd prefer something made of cotton or a cotton blend. br>I'm going to look for something else.
After a month of use, the inner thighs began to peel. Despite the fact that Adidas is listed at the top left of the listing, I contacted Adidas, who said this seller was a fake. This seller sells counterfeit Adidas of poor quality. I strongly advise you to stay away from it.
It's a great fit and feels great. The medium fits a size 32 waist perfectly, and the zippered pockets are a nice addition.
