Since it was delivered over 6 months ago, I've been eyeing a "pivot" for my peloton screen, but I couldn't justify paying $60 for a piece of metal. Then, on Prime Day, it went on sale for almost half off, and I couldn't pass it up! It was very simple to install with the help of a friend to hold the screen up while you did so. Advantages: br>br> br>allows total screen swivel of 180 degrees in both directions (could go 360, but cables would twist)br>screen sits higher than without the device and feels more suited to looking at straight onbr>br>con: br>It's almost TOO easy to turn the swivel. When the term "high-end" is used, it means that something When "fiving" on the leaderboard, the tiniest touch can cause the screen to turn, which can be irritating.
This is exactly what I've been looking for to help me with my groundwork! This attachment has made me very happy. The only drawback is that I have to keep my screen at the exact right angle or it will tilt down completely (great for yoga, not so much for everything else). I'm not sure if it's a problem with us or a problem with the product. If it becomes infuriating enough, I'm sure we'll find a solution!.
I'm kicking myself for not ordering it a year ago! I never expected to need to turn the screen, but now that I can, I can easily take a step back from the bike to get a good stretch. I also took a bootcamp class for the first time yesterday, and boy am I sore today! I like how the screen is now a little higher, allowing me to look straight ahead instead of slightly down (I'm a tall guy), and my hands don't hit the screen when holding the top of the handlebars. Others have complained about the screen moving on them, but this can be avoided if the washers are used correctly (i. e. If you tighten the nuts enough (bolt head, washer, screen mount bracket, washer, pivot arm, washer, screen mount bracket, washer, nut), the screen will hold tight but turn smoothly with enough pressure. Ride on!.
I wanted this pivot primarily for bike bootcamps when you transition from the bike to the floor, and it works great for that. Streaming/casting from my phone doesn't work perfectly (glitchy/lag/poor video quality) not sure if it's my streaming device, wifi, or whatever, but for the price, it's a great solution. It was also incredibly simple to set up, taking less than 10 minutes for two people to complete.
The swivel performs as expected and was simple to set up. The best way to turn it into a bike is to use the best hack. A few things I've discovered:
- Make sure all of the bolts, including the swivel, are tightened to the desired tension. My monitor kept swiveling away on my first ride, but after tightening it, it's now perfect. br>- They include the tools you'll need in the package, but I found that using my own tools (e. g. , a screwdriver) went a little faster. handle of a screwdriver).
- Due to the Peloton's angle, the screen has to be tilted up a little to fit across the handlebars. It's not the end of the world, and it's not the swivel's fault. br>br>Overall, after a few days with it, I would strongly recommend it.
This was the ideal addition to help us workout while turning the screen for better views! It doesn't bother us, but the screen isn't even when it's turned. Something to think about if that's something that bothers you!.
I received the swivel three months after receiving my peloton bike, and it works flawlessly. It's a cinch to get off the bike and into my strength training sessions. The only thing I'd watch out for is that the cables on the back of the monitor may come loose, causing your metrics to be lost during a ride; however, if you're doing strength classes on your bike monitor, I'd highly recommend it.
The peloton screen can tilt and swivel, and it was simple to set up. Allows you to choose between cardio and non-cardio exercises. It's great to be able to do bike-related workouts while still being able to see the screen. It's not of the highest quality, but it should last a long time and is reasonably priced.
