Questions & Answers

Is this the squishy foam that the Airex balance pad is made of?

Hello there, and thank you for contacting us. The Airex Balance Pad contains yielding foam made with the familiar soft Airex foam material with a smooth surface, which differs from other products in terms of material (foam). The supple foam aids in balance and joint stabilization for a body in need. The ProSource Exercise Balance Pad, on the other hand, is made of high-density foam and provides excellent support. 4 inches thick, with a cushioned, flexible foam surface that can be used for Yoga, Pilates, or Physical Therapy. Warm regards,

I'm looking to use it for my tailbone when I work out, and I'm wondering if it's too difficult. ?

They are not difficult in my opinion. One of the two exercises I do for balance is standing on one of them for one minute, heel to toe. Because of the give in the foam, this is far more difficult than it appears.

Is it possible to be certain?

As this product is used on a flat, hard surface while you learn to balance yourself, I'm not sure why you'd need a guarantee. It's not flimsy and has a lot of weight to it. Naturally, you'll be stepping into various parts of it. If that's what you're wondering, the foam does bounce back quickly. One of the most important things we can do to strengthen our core and avoid falls is to maintain a sense of balance. But it won't be easy. All the best to you. Grace and peace.

Are all of the colors made of the same material density?

It's never too late to begin, and the thickness is just right, neither too thin nor too thick
5/5

We purchased it for my husband, who had suffered a stroke. He had to balance on one during his therapy. Because of my poor balance due to my foot problems, I also stand on it. It came with a number of fun exercises. I have not yet completed all of them. We're both seniors, so it goes without saying. My husband and I are both 75 years old. I hope this information was useful to you.

Airex Balance Pads vs
4/5

Prosource Fit Balance Pads The Prosource Fit stability pad is extremely stable and serves its purpose admirably. As a cushion for a chair. It's a tad on the firm side. br>br>The Airex Balance Pad is a little better for stability training because it gives a little more and thus challenges your balance a little more for twice the price. Because the surface of the Airex is a little softer, it's also a better seat cushion. I gave the Prosource four stars because I've seen the Airex being used by some of the fitness centers, which implies that it must have excellent long-term durability. br>br>I gave the Airex four stars because I've seen it being used by some of the fitness centers, which implies that it must have excellent long-term durability. br>br>I gave the Airex four stars because I've seen it being used by some of the fitness centers, which implies that I'd give the Airex a five-star rating.

A chemical odor that is both hazardous and obnoxious
3/5

I've had this mat outside for over a week, airing it out in the sun, and it still smells like a chemical, and it's left the chemical odor on the carper where I temporarily placed it. I'm going to leave it outside for another week to air out, and if the smell doesn't go away, I'll have to discard it - It was a complete squander of funds. This item is extremely dangerous. br>br>UPDATE 4/13br>br>The chemical odor has not diminished after a week in the sun and open air. This pad will be thrown away immediately.

The foam has already flattened out after about three weeks
3/5

I'm making some changes to my original four-point plan. 2 out of 5 stars stars. This foam has only been in my possession for less than three weeks, and I haven't even used it every day. I just got off a conference call, and I was using this to cushion my feet (since I wasn't wearing shoes). I felt painful pressure for the entire 60 minutes I was on the phone, so when I looked down at the end of the call, I noticed the permanent indentations my feet had left in the pad. Because the foam is already dense, flattening it makes it even more difficult and uncomfortable. I didn't expect this for at least 8 months to a year of weekly use of the pad. But in less than three weeks, it's already flattened? Instead, I'll use a balance board, which requires rolling from side to side in order to use. These foam pads are not structurally sound enough to be used on a daily basis. Too bad. If the pad was used for serious exercise (like one-on-one training), I imagine it would degrade even faster. Squats with a single leg or single-leg bodyweight squats Leg deadlifts are a type of exercise that requires both legs to be lifted. ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** My home office has hardwood floors, and standing for more than 30 minutes is painful. I even lifted my feet for a few minutes. So, here's what I got. It's much more comfortable (and less painful) than standing on the hard floor. The dense foam's spring makes it much easier to walk in place. I'm hoping to improve my balance as well. However, I find that if I really need to focus on something and am still for more than ten minutes, I am able to do so. My feet begin to hurt after a few minutes, as if I were standing on a hard floor. According to what I've read, we should be active (shifting our balance) from foot to foot while standing for better comfort. This is now possible, thanks to the foam's spring. I'm hoping it'll last at least a year because the foam is so dense. br>br>I haven't tried it out for exercise yet, but I believe it would hold up. If the foam flattens out or fails in any other way, I'll update my review. I'm hoping it'll last a year (or more) if I use it every day. However, in my experience, you still need to move around a lot to avoid the worst of standing-related ankle and heel pain. I'm doing some continuing education online at home for my license, and I have to sit for a lot of it, so this means I'm not as focused as I would otherwise be. However, for a general, low-cost option, this is the best I could find. standing tasks that require concentration.

For PT, this is a good Sunstitute
5/5

As part of my physical therapy for torn tendons in my ankle, I had been balancing on one foot on a similar pad. My ambition was to be able to complete all of the physical therapy exercises at home on my own. So far, I've bought a few straps, elastic bands, and now this. It's not exactly the same as the one I used at PT, but it's a good substitute. It's well-made and gets the job done.

So far, the best stability product I've found
5/5

Excellent work!! br>In my many years of physical activities, I tried many balancing products as a basketball player who was constantly spraining my ankle. This is, without a doubt, my favorite! The surface is very firm, but it is also very unstable. All you have to do is stand on it and let the foam take care of the rest.

My go-to piece for working out at home
5/5

This pad is a dead ringer for the one I used at the gym. It'll go great in my home gym. It's dense and thick enough to use for stability exercises and floor exercises that require additional padding.

This purchase has exceeded my expectations! I bought it to help me with my balance exercises at first
5/5

It serves its purpose admirably. br>It's solid, with just enough unpredictability to keep things interesting. As my balance improves, I plan to incorporate this into some of my regular workouts to add to the challenge. br>I've also used it as a soft riser to help me with some of my stretching exercises. It's comfortable to sit on and provides cushioning that my yoga mat can't provide on my hardwood floors. br>Then, the other day, I was cleaning the kick plates under the cabinets while kneeling on the kitchen tile, and my knees were killing me. I eventually grabbed this contraption, and it made a difficult task a lot easier! br>It's the perfect size to tuck away under a piece of furniture when not in use, it's light and portable, it's large enough to sit on, and it's simple to clean with a damp cloth. It's a: br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> I might have to get a second one for upstairs. br> Workout aidbr> Balance aidbr> Seat cushionbr> Floor cushionbr> Knee padbr>.
