Although we do not play hockey, we are confident that it would aid in hockey training. The WB aids in the development of ankle strength, mobility, and quickness. Using the end balls as a second and third balance point improves agility and more closely resembles balancing on an ice skate. Improve these skills more effectively with three-dimensional balance points.
For better stability, I went with the wider model - I'm 72 years old and always use it in conjunction with my dip station to maintain my balance. Since my skateboarding days have passed me by! I saw a Youtube video of a younger dude using one at his workplace and thought you might be interested. I'm guessing you'd go for the model that most closely resembles your skateboard.
approximately 3 1/2 inches
Without a doubt. For tricks or spins, a more firm/low pile carpet is best, but any carpet will suffice!

I bought it because of the excellent reviews and the fact that it could be used with a stand-up desk. This requires a lot of concentration, and there's no way I could analyze numbers on an Excel spreadsheet at work while doing this, despite the fact that I was a gymnast for 13 years until recently. I also didn't realize it couldn't be used on hardwood floors due to safety concerns, as stated in the instructions. I didn't notice this advertised anywhere in the item details, but it's possible I overlooked it. This effectively demolishes my entire home. The board is not cheap, and I'm not interested in purchasing the advertised floor mat, either. Finally, the cork version was purchased. We noticed marks after just one use with clean barefeet, which perplexed us. I can only imagine what it would be like if it were a well-known brand. item that has been used previously This seems like an excellent tool for someone who wants to improve their skateboarding, snowboarding, or other sports, but I don't think it's appropriate for someone who works at a stand-up desk and needs to concentrate. I 100% support small businesses but I'm just giving my honest opinion on the subject.
After deciding to use a standing desk to save my back, I placed an order for this. This item caught my eye while looking at standing desks. Its design immediately drew me in. Skateboarding and music were my life as a teen in the 1990s. I fell in love with this item right away and wanted to try it out right away. As a 44-year-old adult, I recognized that the traditional skateboard style was a little too skinny, so I was glad to see they made a wider version. Since we got it, I've had it in my home office, and I can honestly say that everyone in our family uses it at least once a day. At first, I was a little shaky (see: 44), but I can now balance it and spin it (slowly). You can practice wakeboarding moves by tying a dog leash to a door handle (this is not in any way sanctioned by the fine people at Whirly Board). It's quite lovely. br>Since the pandemic began, my children and I have been staying at home together. They've been troopers the entire time, and I was hoping that this item would bring us all a smile and some laughs (as well as some exercise). All three of these things have been accomplished. ***IN ADDITION- These are made in the garage of a Wisconsin man. The design of the board is stunning, and it's extremely well-made. made. It's great to be able to purchase something that helps a small American company! This is a product I strongly recommend!.
I purchased the original Whirly Board, which I enjoyed, but standing for hours without shoes was not ideal, so I was relieved to learn that a wider, shorter board was available. With the mountains, it also appears to be cooler. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a solidly built balance board for working at a standing desk. Erik, the creator of Whirly Board, reached out to me personally when I wanted to swap out the original board for the wide board, and he stands behind his product.
I've gained a lot of strength in such a short period of time. This board is the best thing I've ever bought, and I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that. In only a few weeks, I've regained a lot of my strength. While I don't have any injuries or serious aches, I noticed right away that all of my minor aches and pains had vanished. There are no neck strains, and your back is not stiff. br>br>A week after I bought it, I was in the store and kneeled down to get something from the bottom shelf, got up, and thought to myself, "Wow, I don't have to slowly get back up to "unfold" my back anymore. " I'm no longer suffering from "old man pains," as I've described them to friends. (I'll be 50 in a few months. ) br>br>I've already persuaded two good friends to purchase one each, and we've formed a loose "car" club. br>br>If you're looking for a balance board, this is the one to get. I've tried a different board that rocks back and forth, but it doesn't come close to this one. That was nothing more than a glorified footrest. This is a dynamic situation with no simple solutions. br>br>However, be patient because it may appear impossible at first; the key is to start with your feet closer together, essentially standing over the center ball. This will assist you in strengthening your muscles and improving your technique. I've progressed from dancing and twisting on it for a few minutes at a time to doing so while working. I'm standing 80% of my work day right now and haven't used my office chair in weeks (75cm balance ball the rest)
I'm in love with this thing, and this is 100% my opinion, no paid stuff here
I'm in love with this thing, and this is%.
This was purchased for use as a stand-up workstation. It's not the best for that, primarily because it's so distracting. I'm a wind-surfer who loves to ski. roller coaster and surfer I'm a blader, so I don't have to worry about balance. But, at least as a stand-up device, I find it a little silly and distracting. br>br>However, it does appear to exercise my lower legs a little. Even if you have perfect balance, your muscles are constantly tense in order to maintain it. So that's a plus. However, I find it to be a distraction from my work. If I want to get some exercise, I'd rather take a break and do something more strenuous. for a short period of time br>br>However, I adore the story of how the inventor came up with the idea for this board, and I'll always applaud such dedication. This isn't to say I don't like it. It's entertaining and one-of-a-kind, as well as well-crafted. I'm just not convinced it'll work for my needs. As a result, it's relegated to the status of a fascinating curiosity. I believe it is best used as an active device, and it can be used for a variety of purposes. In my opinion, it is not possible to work while standing.
The only other similar device, which costs $250 and is made entirely of plastic, is advertised on television. Because the platforms are smaller and less expensive, you must keep your feet together. I have a simple dip station that I use on occasion, but I've discovered that it works well with the Whirly Board to keep my balance while getting the workout I wanted, even if I never attempt some of the stunts the kids will attempt!.
