Questions & Answers

Is this product suitable for use as a standing mat at a standing desk (I don't want to have to balance at the desk, but I do want to be able to change my foot position)?

Yes! Without a doubt. It's ideal for standing desk use. Legs are kept in place. core active.br>br>However, you may need to gradually increase the length of time you use it. At first, I was only able to use it in 15-minute increments. I now stand for hours on end on it.br>br>I have a rocker board as well as the Airex Elite pad. At a standing desk, I spend the majority of the day on the Airex pad. br>br>I'll bring this with me if we ever go back to working in the office.

Is there a difference between the regular and elite pads (aside from a couple of inches and $15)?

I heard the elite pad has sticky buttons to keep it from slipping, as stated by bookhappy on August 31, 2014br> Thank you for your kind words! It is not the "Elite Pad," it is the Airex Balance Pad - David Folkman said on August 31, 2014 | Editbr>It is not the "Elite Pad," it is the Airex Balance Pad - David Folkman said on August 31, 2014 | Editbr>It is not the "Elite Pad," it is the Airex Balance Pad - David Folkman said on August 31, 2014 | There are no buttons - both sides are perfectly smooth

Is the extra cost of this pad justified in comparison to the standard Airex Balance Pad, and if so, why?

I thought it was for me because I use it for Meniere's balance exercises and the non-slip top and bottom are important to me. With the elite, I am very expressive, which is ideal for my balance therapy.

Where can I find exercises to do with the pad on the internet? The website for Airex is in another language. ?

Look up "AIREX Balance Pad" in the search engine and see what you can find. www. was the one I used. my- airex. balance-com/en/products/detail/13/balance-com/en/products/detail/13/balance-com/en/products/ pad. If you look at "Step 6: Organize Your Workspace," you'll notice that it has a Practice in more difficult conditions" contains a series of exercises that you may be familiar with, but they are performed on a pad. The sit-down is one of my favorites. There are push-ups as well as sit-ups. as well as push-ups and core workouts Because the product is Swiss, most of the websites are in German. I hope this has been of assistance.

PTA Knows Best: I'm a Physical Therapist Assistant by trade, and I use the Airex all the time at work and at home to promote better balance and muscle coordination
5/5

I recently had surgery on my right leg and ordered my own Airex to use at home for rehabilitation. I chose the smaller two because I can use them in a variety of ways to push myself even harder as I recover, such as standing heel to toe in tandem stance. When appropriate after rehabilitation, I can also use them as a pair during core exercises such as planking and push-ups. br>br>They're nice because they're non-skid and have a better texture grip than the standard Airex. I'll get the larger pad when I have more money. This design is fantastic!.

Standing Desks are ideal for the Airex Balance Pad Elite
5/5

You don't always want to walk on your treadmill desk because you're barefoot. Standing at a desk all day can be excruciatingly painful for your knees and feet. There is a way out of this. br>br>Thank God for Mark and Frank letting me know about this incredible lime green Airex Balance Pad Elite. br>br>Airex Balance Pad is Elite when it has this pattern on it. br>br>I'm not sure if the extra $30 is worth it, but I got a factory reject for the same price as the regular one. br>br>There are also a lot of $12 knockoffs out there, which I'm sure are just as good. I'm a sucker for brands. It's nothing more than a pre-packaged wrestling or gymnastics mat found in a high school or college gymnasium. br>br>It tucks away against the wall beside the tread when I'm not using it (I actually use the treadmill desk for walking while working). br>br>Perfect. br>br>And who doesn't like a little lime green? br>br>As you can see, the pad is thick and light, and while it's designed to be used in the same way as the Bosu, my friends Mark and Frank use it for longer periods of standing, such as 8-hour days at the standing desk or LifeSpan treadmill desk. br>br>The Airex Balance Pad Elite pad is very thick and light, and while it's supposed to be used in the same way as the Bosu, my friend Mark and I use it for longer periods of standing, such as 8 hour days at the standing desk or LifeSpan treadmill desk. The price is high when purchased new, but I was able to get a $30 Amazon Warehouse discount for one that was in perfect condition but had some damage to the box. I thought it was well worth it. I'm sure there are plenty of $12 knockoffs out there that are just as good. It's nothing more than a pre-packaged wrestling or gymnastics mat found in a high school or college gymnasium.

It was precisely what I was looking for
5/5

This pad is exactly what I'm looking for when it comes to physical therapy. This one was purchased because it is the exact height and type that I use during my physical therapy sessions. Because of the increased height, I'm having to force a stubborn leg to lift higher than it's used to; It's made a big difference in how easily I can get my foot over the shower stall rail. My therapist had me use it for balance and movement purposes during my last session, and it's clear that it works for that as well. A large sheet with pictures and instructions for different exercises was included with the pad. I'm not going to tackle some of them because they're more for fitness than rehabilitation, but it appears to be a versatile product.

This is effective
5/5

My 92-year-old mother required balance and endurance therapy after being admitted to the hospital. The balance beam, while challenging for her, has proven to be extremely beneficial. This is so valuable that I made it a rule for her to use it on a daily basis. I set it up in the hallway, and she walked sideways down and back, rested, and then walked toe to heel down and back, resting in between. She progressed week by week until, after 6 to 8 weeks, she was able to complete the entire routine with only a short break at the end, and she was walking around the house with her cane. There were other exercises we did on a daily basis, but I believe this one was the most effective.

For the intended purpose, it is ideal
5/5

I was using a balance pad similar to this at physical therapy and liked the results, so I went online to see what else was out there. I had to look around for the size I wanted (I believe it's 19" x 16"). It is easier to find smaller ones. However, I eventually tracked it down and purchased it. It's identical to the one I used at PT. It's a reasonable size. It would not have sufficed to make it any smaller - It appears to be long-lasting as well. It's been nearly two months since I've worn it, sometimes in slippers and sometimes in shoes (sneakers), and it still looks brand new. (I'm only about 111 pounds, so I'm sure that has something to do with it. ) It also appears to be as clean as the first day, despite the fact that I've been using it in an area where food debris is easily picked up - Cat food debris, in particular. The foam is dense, and it doesn't appear to absorb anything unless the user works hard at it or submerses it in liquid for an extended period of time. I placed it on a non-absorbent sheet. despite the fact that I use it on hard flooring - slip material, which I believe was designed to be used with throw rugs, and it has never slipped even a little - The majority of the time, it's linoleum. This is one of the best purchases I've made.

This is an excellent product with a wide range of applications
5/5

It was well worth the money. This is without a doubt the best purchase I've ever made. I wish I had something similar when I was a nurse in the operating room and had to stand on a cement floor for years. It's wonderful! My physical therapist recommended it to me for plantar fasciitis, so I bought it. Using it to balance on one foot helps to change your proprioception, according to his information. This alters your balance and walking pattern, allowing you to walk more correctly and thus alleviating fasciitis pain. Another advantage I've discovered is that my balance in yoga poses has significantly improved. I liked this product so much that I gave one to a family member who suffers from back problems, and she loves it just as much as I do!.

The balance pad is excellent
5/5

I had used this balancing pad in physical therapy and decided to buy one after I finished PT to use in my home exercise program. It was an excellent decision! - a size that allows two people to work at the same time footed (I can even use it diagonally for a tandem stand, with one foot directly in front of the other), and small enough to store. I've also used it to clean the floor as a kneeling pad. I received a good return on my investment!.
