I'm 5'2" and weigh around the same amount as you. A large was the size I chose. There is no tummy support or compression in these. Mine had holes in the seams on the bottom where the fabric had been missed. I didn't realize it until I went to the gym wearing them. Before you wear them out, you might want to take a look at it. It was a good decision by the company to correct the situation.
The XL fit me perfectly because I am 5'2" and 225 pounds. You seem to be a good fit for a large?
I don't have a tape measure, but I'm a little taller than average at 5'8, and these leggings in a size large fit me better in terms of length than most leggings; they're not cropped on me and go all the way down to my ankle.
I didn't find them to be see-through, and I have a large thigh tattoo that I couldn't see through the leggings. Perhaps it depends on the fit? My hug was also perfect. I hope this has been of assistance.

Okay, so these are OK, but I bought three after first getting one of the $30 brands on here, and I can honestly say that the quality of the $30 brands far exceeds that of these. br>br>The $30 pair is thick, provides compression, stays up, and doesn't have a camel toe or muffin top. br>br>These, on the other hand, "work" and still make my butt look good. I'll probably keep these for working out and wear the one $30 pair I bought on non-workout days to preserve them. br>br>To cut a long story short, these are OK, but you definitely get what you pay for when it comes to these and the more expensive brands (at least the one more expensive brand I bought).
Because of my large hips, finding the perfect fit is usually difficult. These are the winners in my opinion! I purchased one in each color. The gray ones were the only ones who appeared to be see-through. So far, none of the others have shown through.

I figured at this price, I'd get a pair to see what they're like. Well, I'm here to tell you that they really do make your butt look good! I'm also relieved to hear they're not too thin or see-through. They're extremely comfortable, of good quality, and run true to size; I'm 5'6", 160 pounds, and normally wear a size 10, but I ordered a M. I'm sure I could go down, but they'd be far too tight. I was expecting these to be a little tighter, so I went down a size. Also, one of the seams on mine has a small hole, but I won't be wearing them out of the house anyway, so it's not a big deal. They're very comfortable, but I'm not sure if I'd wear them to the gym. The fabric is designed to be used for lounging rather than working out.
Super comfy, and I like how the high waist pulls up and covers my entire stomach. I usually buy xl leggings, but I think I could have gotten away with a L because they have so much extra stretchy room and are so long that they kind of bunch up at my ankles. It also provides a nice lift to my booty. These are something I'd buy again.
