This is my third set of lenco trim tabs I have installed on my boats and have never In both actuators, the fault is apparent right after opening attempted to contact Lenco directly, as directed in the warranty booklet, but the automated answering service said there would be a long wait to speak with a service representative due to the high volume of service calls. If I were to spend that much money, even better customer service would be expected.
The actuators on my boat needed to be replaced since I had old Lenco trim tabs. Therefore, I decided to order the actuators, the wiring, and the switch from the kit. I installed it easily, but once everything was installed it would not work. Electrical connectors that they have you install from the actuators to the wire harness are both failure points, so I found the cause of the problem. It was a simple matter of using heat shrink connectors I had!.
The stepped hull, however, is dangerous, so if you're in a hurry, you might want to get them up as soon as possible. The trim on the leg is rarely used by me.
The only season I got out of them was one episode. Unfortunately, I don't have the paperwork that came with them and I lost track of where I got them from. In the coming winter, I will try to get them sorted out. Sadly, I do not have much hope.
Over the weekend, they were on a boat. The installation is a little noisy, but it's easy. It has been over a year since they first boarded the boat. I've had no problems with it.
They are sure worth the money since they are so simple to install. With these in place, I've experienced a major improvement in the handling of my boat.
Response time is faster than the hydraulic tabs I was using before. A mechanical trim tab is not as expensive as a hydraulic one.
The plug and play harnesses are amazing! I am installing them this week.
