Questions & Answers
If it makes more sense to use this with a 48v system or is it too high for a 56v system?
It's impossible for me to say. 12 volts was all I could use it for
Is the gold colored bolt supposed to be mounted with a terminal of what size?
It is also recommended to use standard battery cables, which can also be found on the website. My best guess is that the terminal nuts are 9/16" in diameter. A basic marine battery terminal, which is similar to the wingnuts/bolts on most, if not all,
What is the water resistance of this item?
If the internal contacts are waterproof, I am unsure whether they are sealed. In the back of the switch, the terminals for the cables are covered with plastic to isolate them from grounding, but they are not sealed so that the switch becomes
When you disconnect the battery on your travel trailer, would it be possible to just run the ground wire from the switch to the other side and then out?
Yes, I do. Depending on your preference, you can place the switch on the positive or ground sides of the Regardless of how it is done, an open circuit will result.

Solar panels can be used with it
I read that I should connect the batteries before connecting the solar panels in the instructions that came with my solar controller. In order to do this, I installed this switch- In order for me to isolate the solar panels when I am servicing the batteries, I have a line running between the solar panels and the controller. This is an ideal solution for that purpose.

Quick and easy installation I love the way this works! A switch like this was installed in the boat's utility/battery compartment as an easy way to disconnect it completely during times when it is not in use The use of
I selected a switch with the right size for the location I had in mind. Mounting the device to a vertical surface out of the way, but still near the battery, was easy thanks to the four mounting holes. The black battery cable is a simple piece of wire that I wired between the black negative (ground) wire and the negative battery terminal at the auto parts store. There are removable access panels on the switch, so you can pick an in/out wire route through the switch easily. I am able to access the building easily. The big battery wires come out of the same side of the switch housing as the small ones. A cover over the bottom prevents any shorting out, so there's not much chance of anything shorting Easy to use, color-coded ON and OFF indicators are located on the actuator knob, which makes operating it simple. In the marine environment it will be exposed to, it will become more apparent how it performs. In sum, it is well designed and performs the job well.

Everything appears to be in order
I like the website a lot A switch to turn it off. The back of the bike has 3/8" lugs if I recall correctly. Due to the connectors being slightly too big, I had to trim the casing a tiny bit with a razor blade in order to fit them fully down. I am delighted with the result. My terminal ends sit flush against the connector end. I only wanted to mention this as an aside Since they are white, they get dirty fairly easily (not a problem for me, but for some it may be a problem). It's also relatively easy to install the removable side panels, since they tend to loosen up fairly easily. As long as the whole switch is screwed or bolted in place, the buttons are snug and work fine.
I just wish the "on" and "off" letters were a lot larger and more visible.

It has a nice form factor, but it's so cheap that you can afford it
The form factor is impressive, however the device is so cheap that you can break it when you pick it up with your It seems sturdy enough, but if you think about what you are turning when you turn the switch, you will find that there is quite a bit of force required to turn it, and the plastic housing is After I tried to turn it, I think it exploded into tiny pieces because it arrived with a small crack.

I found this to be a good product for the price
It did what I needed, which was to shut off As a result, I gave it a three-star rating because I feel it is super The power switch is a little tricky to operate. The "sweet spot" for getting it to turn is almost like finding the right type. Comparatively speaking there are some that are closer to what you'd get for the price, but like they say, you get what you pay for. Despite the fact that the switch is without screws, it is protected from the elements by the side covers. It seems odd, but I suppose that's how the price comes down and you have some on hand if you're like me. One suggestion is to dry fit where you want it, then super glue the provided tabs in place, add the screws, and seal it with clear silicone. The frame is mounted right to the camper, like I said it's for my camper. This is what I am going to do After the seal was applied, there was no need to drill holes for the screws so that no metal shards would get in.

An on/off switch for the batteries
I got the package before I expected it to arrive, in good The mounting hardware needs to be provided by the purchaser. Attachment to my trailer frame was carried out using stainless steel screws, nuts and washers sized 3/16" x 1 1/2". Based on the 3/8" electrical studs it came with and bolts and washers to attach them, the base plate was used as a drilling guide. In order to avoid the trailer battery dying between uses, my trailer battery can be disconnected easily.

As time goes on, we will find out
the moment, the only negative thing I have to say is that mine did not come with hardware to secure the bottom plate, but that's not a big deal since I have spare bolts. The build quality seems poor, but not as bad as my other metal one, which I bought much more expensively, and I don't expect to use it more than a few times a year, so I'm not sure how lasting it will be.

It was exactly what I needed to turn off my accessories Whenever I park my vehicle, I use this switch to disconnect the power to my aftermarket Minn Kota Talons so that my battery is not drained
Marine switch that is compact and heavy duty at the same time. A wide range of mounting/wiring options are available so that horizontal or vertical mounting can be done. My battery compartment is right beneath the lid, so it's mounted on the side wall on the left-hand side.
