Since there was a half-price difference between the Marinco and this part, I purchased it. I find this to be exceptionally Marinco's quality is just as good or better than Marinco's. I have an issue with the Halex because it doesn't match the Marinco standard. As delivered, I was not able to properly connect our stanchion to the Halex. It works perfectly now after I made two modifications. To remove the outer plastic ring surrounding the male end (50amp), I had to turn the female end 90 degrees. It didn't have a removable cap so it wasn't easy to remove. After I had removed the connector ring, I had to clean it. Following the removal of those two items As a matter of urgency This works like a charm.

Our 50A cable is sometimes only provided with 30A so this is a perfect adapter to have on board and prevent us from running out of power. Rarely used but extremely useful when the marina only provides 30A. This piece of furniture is solidly constructed and well built.
