I believe there is wiring to connect the lights to the console. The screws I used were #6 pan head ss @ about 10 mm It is recommended that the tracks be attached at 12" centers. You also had to buy some clear silicone caulk to seal the ends you cut, and some plastic clips to hold the wire I love the way they work and how they look
It is enough to have this set. The strings were actually 18 inches long, so I had to trim them.

An indication of where to cut is provided. Then I added silicone to the end of the track to seal it inside.
It was difficult for me (Manitou SHP) because the tracks barely fit between the rubrail and crossmembers, but there was no problem nearly anywhere. Screwing the track is important as it has been pointed out by other reviewers. It was important for me to use #4 stainless screws because the smaller ones stayed in place when I installed the strips on top of them. In the end, I used one kit to wrap from bow to stern and about two-thirds of the boat The distance around the back to the motor is 3 feet. It was actually a small amount of silicone that I used to put the LED strips in the track, and now that it's dried and glued in, along with the screws, I don't think these will ever come out or fall off. With the Y-shaped wiring, the wiring is sturdy and resistant to corrosion It comes with a harness and nice disconnects, as well as a weatherproof heatshrink bag. I wanted unique switch control from the dash, so I snagged the wire. If your boat is aluminum, you may have difficulty snaking the wire to the helm (mine has aluminum underskin). Overall, I spent about 4 hours on the install, including a difficult wiring situation under the helm to clean up. The addition I made to my 2010 boat made our 2010 boat appear much newer, making a great value for the price.
The 22' pontoon looks great with these! As soon as I installed the track, I bought #6 panhead ss screws x 1/2" long at 12" centers after it came in 4' lengths with backer tape. This model includes one roll of lights on each side, plenty of track, and enough lights for 26' of running. The wiring was simple, and the switch was attached to the accessory.
My first impression of them was that they were bright and attractive. If I could rate them a 5, I would have done so. The rating of one is simply based on how hard it is to see them a year later. You could tell after a few months that they were becoming duller. It is now 1 year later and they have dimmed so much that they are barely visible. Save your money and don't waste it. In a year, you will have something completely different to buy. Update Rewired the lights and they are now brighter. Update 06/28/19 Rewired the lights and they are brighter. I would purchase this product.
I put my pontoon under my deck, which is 24 feet long. incredible, and I receive a great deal of compliments when I am at the lakeside restaurant or at the sandbar in To prevent LED strips from falling out of the bracket, I strengthened it with screws, based on other reviews. I also put some silicone in the bracket to prevent the LEDs from falling I really love how easy it was to install and how beautiful it looks. It is great to have good customer service and products that are great.
Wiring is of excellent quality and works well. In the same way that others have said, I did not trust the tape and used #6 screws instead. Utilizing screws also has the advantage that the track narrows as you tighten the screws, and the lights stay in place firmly. From start to finish it took me around 1 hour and 15 minutes because I have a lot of experience with wiring. to cut off 18 inches of lights on my boat of 24 feet because its lights were too long.
I enjoyed this kit very much. This is a very easy to install product. In each of the 3 light holders, I did put some 1/2" pan screws. A snap was all it took for the light to snap in the holder.
I do recommend using small stainless screws to hold the channel in place, since the lights are bright and the quality is excellent. My bow lights were also harnessed from the factory.
