Questions & Answers
What is the dimming capability of these lights?
There is no such thing as the internet
Are these units connectable in a series or are they required to be connected separately?
It's fine to connect them in series as long as their order doesn't change
What is the best way to connect LED lights in parallel?
Parallelism is actually what is meant by this term. I think it is best to run lighting like this in parallel, as this person is saying, connect all the positives of your lights together and then all the negatives together, then connect all the positive and negative leads If you want to connect in series, plug the red wire for the battery into the positive terminal of your first light, then the negative terminal of that light into the positive terminal of the Basically, each connecting wire will become slightly dimmer the more you connect. Once you have connected all the wires, connect the negative of the last wire to the negative of the battery.
For these lights, do I need a resistor?
There is no resistance needed, you can just connect a 12V DC source and I think they are the best accessory I have ever added to my kayak. One out of five of them does not even pull an amp.

An LED with a lot of versatility
The LEDs used in this project are small, but they produce quite a bit Their sealed construction means they can be installed in areas that are wet. It is great for marine applications and it uses very little electricity.

It's not bright at all
Having these lights produce more light than I expected was disappointing. As well as tape backing, I would have preferred it.

There was one defective (short) item
It was easy to install them, but when we began wiring everything up and connecting the main line to the panel switch one of the units had a short. They should also be a bit brighter, according to me.
