It should work if the support holes in your cover are reinforced. They were in our possession. Aren't all of your caps similar to this one?
Simply cut a small slit in the cover and join the two halves together with screws. The unit has a firm grip on the cover, and I've had no problems with it since it was installed.
The bottom of the vent unscrews and splits it apart; on top of the vent is an arrow, which I've pointed towards the front of the boat (assuming more air flow).br>br>Hope this helps.
What's the point of instructions if you don't know what you're doing To put them on the canvas, simply unscrew them and stick the poles in.

br>br>This little cap does a great job of holding it together, and despite the fact that my tear wasn't exactly in the middle of where I'd put a support pole, I ended up using it as one. It makes it easier for rain to roll off the back half of the cover. I notice a slight difference in temperature under the cover, but it's still extremely hot (the vent isn't to blame - I'll be buying another one, maybe two of these to replace my other support pole toppers (it's only summer in Florida)br>br>I'll be buying another one, maybe two of these to replace my other support pole toppers (it's only summer in Florida)br>br>I'll be buying another one, maybe two of I wish they would make a solar fan with a built-in fan to help move the air under the cover more effectively. This is an excellent boat cover vent in general. Easy to understand Effective design that does not cost a lot of money to implement!.
Simply cut a small slit in your cover and join the two halves together with screws. After that, install a rod of the appropriate length for that location in the boat, and you've got yourself a new boat cover support pedestal. I've had low spots in my cover for years that a heavy rain would fill, putting a lot of pressure on the cover, and I'd have to run out to bail the water out of their depressions. I added this extra cover support and that problem was no longer an issue. I'm not sure why I waited this long. Choose a support post that fits snugly in the cover support and won't fall out when you're putting your cover on and off (I cut an old broom handle to fit).
I knew I'd have to use an adapter sleeve in my pole, so I prepared for it. It's a great deal, and it's simple to set up.
Our pontoon boat canvas cover had a damaged grommet, and this was a great design and practical solution. The vent cap served as a vent and a repair at the same time. 3/4" is a popular size.
The pole goes in the bottom hall and holds up your cover while still providing ventilation from the top. Once part goes under the cover, the other goes on top, and you screw them together, the pole goes in the bottom hall and holds up your cover while still providing ventilation from the top. They're a great replacement for our old ones; they're sturdy and last a long time; they lasted all summer with no problems, and we keep our boat covered when we're not using it. The product met my expectations.
It was a perfect match for the boat cover we had. However, if you only require the thumb screw base, it is less expensive to purchase the entire unit rather than just the thumb screw and pay for shipping.
The quality is excellent. Two poles from a pontoon boat cover broke through. These material tubes are perfect replacements for the old ones. Much better than the strong vents that came with the house.
I was able to save some money by purchasing online rather than at the marina where the boat is stored. I'm not sure how the vent cap ended up on the canvas cover, but it's now fixed.
