Our 18ft Wellcraft seems to be working just fine. I do not know how much weight our boat carries.
If used normally and the bunk is in good operating conditions, then this bunk should work without fault, however its look does not look
You will not receive a bolt with it.
That should be the case. A good product

A year ago, used for around a year. I managed to get it to work until I reached the loop. The boat would be on the highway if it was on a roller trailer. * The safety chain and the running boards on my trailer are a godsend. I am waiting to hear back from the seller about warranty issues. We'll update as soon as we get more information.
Initially, I am only giving 3 stars because the item came in without instructions, but that really isn't that big of an issue. You might be able to find instructions on installing it on YouTube. Secondly, the description only gives measurements of 2" X 20' and does not say how much weight the system can handle. It has a maximum load capacity as stated in the This doesn't resemble a machine that could handle 5,000 pounds. It is possible that I am mistaken. Please let us know how long it can handle. We will update the status and maybe change the.
As for the strap, it is a yes, only the clip needs to be attached. THIS IS A CHEAP, inefficient, and poorly designed piece of product engineering. There is a design to break it. Let's get started! I really like the material and stitching on the strap, the hook is strong, but the clip in the center is really a weak point! If the strap is slack, it appears to serve more as a AFTER-THOUGHT than a reason to keep the hook on the boat.
There are flaws in the plating on the hook. My hook, which I purchased in April, has already rusted badly by the end of July. I wouldn't expect it to last long.
This is the replacement I bought for my Shorelander boat trail. It appears to be a well-constructed, sturdy product. It was impossible for me to install it because the way it attaches to the wench drum is difficult. For access to the bolt that passes through the loop of the attachment end, the wench drum must be removed. The drum is still sitting on my bench until I find a way to remove the main bolt, so I have to wait until I figure out how to remove it. Make sure you can connect to the old one and you can get to the needed interface via that data cable.
I had to go 25 minutes down the road where I got to the ramp from my driveway. By the time the clip was bent and twisted, the hook had opened up as well. Although this makes no sense in terms of how this happened, I'm not going to rate this as worthwhile. It's not hard to get a better one if you spend a little more.
A new strap can be easily attached after the old one has been changed. The screw was properly tightened in just a few seconds. It is awkward, however, when you crank for 3 minutes at the boat ramp and the boat doesn't move. Use the weight and resistance of the boat to tighten this when you get it on. A nice feature is that there is no stretching at the hook.
In my opinion, I must be in the minority here, but the strap did not last one year and frayed beyond safe use, so it must be replaced. I used it for a 16 ft Boston Whaler trailer with a standard bunk bed, and I flushed it with fresh water and Salt Away after each A couple of years should be enough for all straps, no matter how cheap they are.
