Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
Seamax Easy Load Boat Launching Wheels Set is designed by Seamax Canada and is made of the hardest marine grade T6 aluminum alloy with CNC processing; all aluminum parts have a gleaming anodized finish, making the product suitable for use in saltwater; small parts are all made of solid stainless steel. Inflatable boats, aluminum boats, and fiberglass boats have all been tested in the lab and found to support a maximum load of 500 pounds in all conditions.
This system is intended for boats with a transom and a maximum length of 16 feet. These transom wheels should only be installed by an adult who has some tool experience. To properly install the wheel set, you'll need to drill four mounting holes (5/16") in the transom. Some aluminum transoms may require additional reinforcement. You can also use Sikaflex 291, which is a marine sealant.
Take advantage of the new Push Button design. The wheel arm length is increased by a factor of two. With a length range of 22-28 inches and a 5" per stage plus the wheel's diameter,
Tire inflation: Dolly tires may not be fully inflated when shipped; prior to use, only apply 15-20 PSI pressure at room temperature. In the event that a tire becomes overinflated, it is best to use a portable digital air pump. Over-inflating a tire will result in damage, and the warranty will be voided. For heavy-loading applications, a dual wheel kit is available for this dolly.
After using it in salt water or on a sandy beach, make sure to wash it. Before each use, check the tire pressure. To extend the life of your wheels, don't store them in the sun or near heat, and remove the wheel arm from the transom bracket before storing your boat. It's necessary to lubricate the dolly's spring load system. Keep the dolly bracket's lock pin in place. Within the United States, the manufacturer provides a two-year limited parts warranty. Any defective ransom wheel sets will be replaced for free for a period of 30 days.

Questions & Answers

Is it possible to add the extra wheels to these like you can on the Deluxe version?

Yes, the dual wheel kit can be added. Thanks

Is this compatible with the Sea Eagle Foldcat 375?

I'd been thinking about it as well. Did they work on your foldcat if you tried them?

Is it possible to remove the wheels for storage, and do they obstruct motor movements?

The wheels can be removed for storage, which makes them less likely to be stolen! The wheels don't get in the way of the trolling motor. This is a fantastic product.

Will a Hobie Compass kayak work with this?

No, it won't work on a kayak because these wheels need to be attached to a transom.

After 13 months and three launches, there was a big bang
3/5

This is a good set. Rather than other kits with easily misplaced pieces, I prefer the push pins. br>br>Installation went smoothly. At this price, I believe there should be some 4200 or 5200 included. br>br>The three launches went off without a hitch. 11-foot inflatable PVC boat with Tohatsu 20HP engine, 3-gallon fuel tank, U1 battery, and other miscellaneous items. Probably no more than 300 pounds. This weight is no problem for her. It makes life at the ramp a lot easier. br>br>One of the tires in my truck bed blew up while I was transporting for a weekend Memorial Day trip. Prior to the trip, the tires had only been inflated to 20 PSI. Both the inner tube and the tire were blown out, resulting in their loss (see photos). The tires state that the pressure is 30 PSI, which is clearly incorrect. br>br>At this price, I can't recommend this product; 13 months and three launches is all there is to it. I kept this product in my garage, away from the sun and other elements, and I am disappointed. Now I have to buy an inner tube and a tire, making this a poor overall value for such limited use and proper maintenance. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> Inner tubes and tires were purchased and replaced. Tires with a pressure of 50 psi were purchased. It's a huge PITA. You'll need a tire machine, as trying to do this with screwdrivers has scratched up the rims. br>br>07JUL2020 Update I got a second boat and wanted to use the same mechanism on both so that if any more tires blew out, I could swap them out at the boat ramp. Many reviews were positive, and the listing stated that new, upgraded tires would be provided. I went ahead and ordered the kit, which is $30 more expensive this year than it was last year. When the package arrived, I immediately noticed that the tires had not been upgraded. These are the same exploding tires that came with the first kit I ordered over a year ago. I attempted to return this kit despite the fact that it stated clearly that returns are free for any reason. That is not the case. The seller does not offer free returns, and because their business is based in Canada, return shipping is both costly and time-consuming. To put the A-list into action, I contacted Amazon's customer service. Z assures you. Because the listing is false on multiple counts, Amazon agreed to pay for return shipping. To cut a long story short, save yourself the trouble and have someone else order this for you. Due to the exploding tires, the first kit ended up costing me around $200. Ordering from a vendor in Canada taught me a valuable lesson. This product has received a one-star rating from me, and I recommend that you look for something else.

Super, but there's a big catch
4/5

The only issue, and it's a big one, is that pushing a leg down and clicking it into place while the boat is in the water requires two hands. My transom is angled away from the interior, as it is on most boats. The pins don't just go in by themselves because the tires really want to float. So I have to get both hands in the water, one DEEP in the water to hold the arm and tire down and jingle, while the other hand squeezes the motor while hanging over the edge, squarely centered on ONE side. We had to get out in water that dropped off quickly to flip them down from outside the boat, and if we succeeded, we got to do it all over again on the other side. We LEFT THEM DOWN from that point forward, with the tops of the tires about an inch below the boat's bottom. That works fine because my boat is wide enough for the motor to clear when I turn it side to side; my only concern is that a wheel will become snagged on something in the water. It's not what you'd expect or what you'd pay for, but it works.

The product is well-made and simple to operate
5/5

The engagement and disengagement buttons are extremely useful. I practiced with it several times and only used it once on the water, but it was a never-ending learning experience. It's a fail-safe and extremely convenient way to raise, lower, on, and remove wheels. I have no reservations about the strength and carrying capacity (with a carrying capacity of 12). 5' inflatable, 110 motor, battery, and a small amount of gear) at a boat ramp or parking lot. Plastic hubs with no bearings, on the other hand, aren't designed for long-distance hauling. This was a good buy.

I would recommend buying the product, but be aware of the risk of tire rupture if you receive a shoddy 25 PSI rated tire
4/5

I decided to write this, my first product review ever, because I like the product enough to want to take the time. It's a mixed review, but I bumped it up to 4 stars because the Seamax customer service has been outstanding! They appear to be a small, dedicated group of individuals. That alone is a compelling reason to purchase their product. With the exception of those tires and inner tubes, great product design, excellent customer service, and excellent quality! I would recommend purchasing the product, but be aware of the risk of tire rupture if you receive a shoddy 25 PSI rated tire; at the very least, rest assured that Seamax will promptly ship you a replacement, as they did for me. Advantages: br>br>
- The new season has arrived. The wheel release has a fantastic loaded button design. One-by-one, the wheels can be easily popped into landing position. While afloat, you can do it one-handed and not even get your hand wet. It makes a satisfying clicking sound that almost makes you want to repeat the process just to hear it. The anchoring pins used in other wheel designs are much easier to use.
- The wheel mounts are made of a high-quality aluminum with a satin finish. finished, precise, and smooth. br>- The entire assembly is suspended in mid-air. (I did put it to the test. ) )
- The height can be adjusted, which is convenient for various beach slopes and such.
- Because it is simple to remove completely from the transom, there is no risk of interference with the outboard motor.
- My customer service experience left a lasting impression on me. They sent a replacement wheel without charge in the blink of an eye. They were also very receptive to my suggestions and grateful for them. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. br>One of the tires was already flat when I opened the shipping box. The tire itself, not just the tube, had burst! I don't hold Seamax responsible for this because I'm sure they get their tires and tubes from an overseas supplier. I just wish Seamax would spend a little more money on better tires and inner tubes. Alternatively, as some other transom wheel manufacturers have done, you could use a rigid plastic tire. This would make the product perfect!br>br>(On a more positive note, the replacement tire I received was of far superior quality. ) It was fully formed, with a sidewall inflation rating of 50 PSI, as opposed to 25 PSI on the one that ruptured. Hopefully, all future wheels will be equipped with 50 PSI tires. )br>br>The tires and inner tubes are made of such poor quality that they rendered the product I received useless. it is useful It appeared that the rubber had not even filled the tire mold, which was worse than a cheapo hardware store tire. The treads were not fully formed, and the carcass was so thin that the inner tube blew out. The inner tube wasn't the usual supple type (butyl?). ) rubber, but some sort of super-super-super-super-super-super super-super-super- It was a sloppy, greasy substance that smelled like old leather. I eventually went to the hardware store and purchased my own inner tube. Even the cheapest wheelbarrow inner tube from a hardware store was of much higher quality. To avoid tire rupture, Seamax recommends only inflating to 15 PSI, but 15 PSI is insufficient tire pressure. Furthermore, the tire must be capable of inflating to the sidewall rating (25 PSI) without rupturing. Again, Seamax is not to blame because the tire was not manufactured by them; they should simply find better tires.
