It works well with through and through bolts, as well as marine silicone, but you must be able to get the bolt through and tighten the nut on the other side.
They didn't work the first time I used them, and one of them broke off.
I fixed my gaze on the wooden transom of an inflatable boat. The wheels themselves are fantastic, and I am confident that I will complete the task, but my installation differed significantly from yours. I believe they would be suitable for your boat, but you will need to use wood backing plates. Even if your canoe is loaded with gear, using the wheels as a template for the backing plates and bolting everything together shouldn't hurt it.
3 1/2 inches in length Although wider would be preferable, being able to control the distance between them on the transom is advantageous.

The product arrived quickly and was exactly as described. Flip- Clean and simple up/down system. So far, only the driveway has been tested. It's effective. Rolls smoothly and easily while transporting a 12' x 36" Tracker Jon boat weighing about 250 lbs with a 5 hp Tohatsu outboard, fuel, ice chest, tackle, and other items. I'll post an update once it's been tested on the boat ramp. This is a product that I would recommend to small businesses. On a paved or hard surface, you can use your craft. I'm not sure if soft or sandy are the right words to use. Surface launching, despite the fact that the wheels appear to be capable due to their width and flatness. For the overall value, I would suggest this product. Similar items cost two to three times more.

There's no need to queue for a boat launch; simply roll into the water wherever you want. They're extremely durable and simple to use, and they're well worth the money! We received the item in excellent condition and in a timely manner thanks to the seller's excellent service.
Customer service was great at first, but one hinge hit a submerged item and broke 6 months later. It was not worth the money.
There's not much else to say. While I appreciate how small they fold, I'll be purchasing the larger wheels next time. It does not raise the transom high enough to make handling much easier, nor does it allow the motor to be flushed while it is still attached.

The boat moves easily in the parking lot, but it's not so sure about going down the boat ramp. I'm not sure how long these wheels will last before breaking.
The quality is excellent. I've been using it for ten years and have never had any problems; it's a fantastic value.
