It fits perfectly on the tongue, but keep in mind that if you have the retractable tongue kit installed, the spare mount will prevent you from retracting the tongue completely. This is especially true if you have a Microsport XT trailer, which has a retractable tongue. I'm looking for a new spot to put the spare that won't require me to remove it every time I want to retract the tongue for vertical storage.
The spare tire for the Malone MicroSport trailer can be found here. br>The galvanized coating is rough in many places, but it is rust proof but not particularly attractive. br>I'm sure I'll get many years of use out of this durable and well-made product. br>However, the finish is less than smooth, and I was almost ready to return it and spend the money on THREE alloy rims. br>The price is reasonable, and the trailer is a utility trailer - All I ask is that Malone clean up the galvanized finish. br>Did I mention how uneven and unappealing it is?.
So don't waste your time trying to figure it out on your own - Look it up on the internet to see what it looks like - Then it's just a matter of putting it together!.
My spare Malone tire is one of my favorite things in the world.
I was impressed by the thickness of the galvanizing on the spare tire's wheel, which I appreciate because the wheel will be out of service for the majority of its life, riding on the frame of my kayak trailer. I did, however, purchase a large-capacity battery. Tire-covers offers a heavy-duty vinyl cover. This wheel's 20-inch diameter was perfectly accommodated by com.
br>It's a bit pricey for what you get, but it's functional. br>It would be great if it came with a UV-protective cover. I'm having trouble locating a spare tire cover that fits properly.
Furthermore, the mounting bracket that came with it lacked the necessary bolts for securing it to the trailer tongue. Additionally, I'd like to point out that this mounting hardware is not a preventative measure to keep someone from lifting it; someone with a crescent wrench can easily walk away with this tire if they so desire, and the holes that allow for a lock to pass through are completely pointless, as I previously stated; simply undo the nuts and. . . GET A FREE TIRE. br>br>I really wish this came with better mounting hardware and a tire that matched the ones on the trailer, because it's kind of silly.
On the trailer frame, it's a perfect fit.
