Questions & Answers

In the real world, how are they attached under hooks or trunks? Bolts are bolted to them, don't they?

If you have an extremely rusty hood or trunk gate, the tube goes inside while the strap feeds outside. Everything works without any attachments, so you don't have to worry about that!

Is it possible to install these in doors for roof tops?

In that case, they would be willing to work. The mini-batteries that came with them are perfect for me To tie down my roof, I mounted the van on the sliding doors. Getting in and out of the car causes a set of muscle groups to contract.

Do the straps extend all the way across the wrist?

Seeing how the straps are 9" from tip to base of tube (without a hook in the loop), you'll need a bit less reach once you attach a hook to it. Taking its overall length with the tube unloaded to 10 and 3/8 inches, the tube has a diameter of 1 and 3/8. Four and a quarter inches is the tube's length.

Can you tell me how large the rubber tube is?

There is one of them that is one inch in diameter or slightly over. I cannot tell whether they are rubber or not. Vinyl is more like a hard plastic. It works fine on my Honda Element hood because it is designed to work with it. There may be a short length issue with some rear hatches, but it should be fine for most trunks of passenger cars. These are only used on the hood since I tie them to my hitch receiver in the back.

I would advise drivers of hatchbacks and SUVs to be careful
4/5

The following warning is for hatchback and SUV owners who use this product Unless you have the safety straps or ropes attached TO whatever you are tying BEFORE you open the rear liftgate, you MUST loosen the ropes or straps before opening the side You must ensure that the liftgate is correctly positioned every single time. Failure to do so may bend or even stretch the metal on the top. I think that's a testament to how strong this strap is, because the metal will eventually give way before this harness does, so if you don't want all that, maybe you should reconsider.

This is a great It is a brilliant solution to a problem that has become commonplace
5/5

To add stability tie down points to the rear of my car, I purchased these. It took a 14 foot car to haul a 16 foot canoe. On the back end of the car, there was only one hard point the tow hook When the tie down was tightened, the boat was pulled in that direction by the tie down hook that was not on the vehicle's centerline. With these loops inside the trunk, I am able to tie the vehicle down in three ways. When tightening the tiedowns with these loops, take care not to damage the A load put on them directly affects the latches on the hood or trunk. These latches were strong but not designed to support a lot of It is possible for them to pop open under excessive tension.

Yes, I agree! I was able to tie off the front and rear with this system, and if you are flying for an extended period (30+ minutes), you should tie off the front and rear as well
5/5

might sound silly, but if something goes wrong with one of your straps, when you're going over 75 mph, you really don't want to let that thing If you're going to tie off the front and rear, you might as well be safe (for 15$). While driving for 12 hours with these, I found the nose to be facing into the wind with little movement of Anyone who would like to join the Kayak or Canoe worlds and wants to remain safe will find these really valuable. I give it a thumbs.

You can use these to haul kayaks, canoes, etc
5/5

They are super handy for hauling kayaks and other similar items on your The only way I know to hook a tie is to crawl under the car The frame of the chair has a great tie-down strap that makes it super simple to use. The rubber on these is durable yet flexible, and the loops provide a nice fit on the hood of the kayak. It works perfectly with one for each side. I just put one on each side of my hood so the front of the kayak cannot move side to side. Buying these is not a waste of money either. I think you could make these yourself if you have the time, but they would also be fairly simple to make.

Ties the two together The down time is quick and easy
4/5

They may be used to secure canoes mounted on a roof rack by securing the front and back with loop straps. According to their description, they do work. The mount and the thing you are trying to secure may slide after close of the hood, trunk/hatch on your vehicle, so you may need to look into other mounting options (or different mount points) depending on what you want.

The inside of the vase appears to be reinforced with a material for added strength
5/5

The radial belt in a car tire does almost the same thing. This product not only solved my issue of needing ties, but it also Though there are some down points, the quality and workmanship of the material are excellent The list below is ranked accordingly. Despite the price difference, this rubber tube and braided cloth far exceeded my expectations. What's the point in some rubber tube and braided cloth? I'll go ahead and do that The last time I transported a canoe over 200 miles, it crossed three states. It was hard to tell if these were rubber or not when the tube (more than rubber, not sure of material) was rigid, and the tube appeared to have extra material inside for Almost similar to the radial belt in a car tire - and the stitching on the loops looks extremely durable, I was impressed Yes, I am The safety and security of the vehicle allowed me to travel 240 miles at highway speeds without any issues or concerns. The only downside, however, must be mentioned - the passengers were uncomfortable. The quality or performance will not be affected in any way. Tubes appear to be made of a rubber material, but not sure where or from what I haven't tried to fix it yet, but the smell is awful, and takes a long time If you decide to open the package, be prepared If you can't keep these in a bedroom, find a place for them to be stored Now just go and buy them!.

It would be perfect if the straps were a couple of inches longer
4/5

You can easily figure out how to use them, and they fit securely. If they get placed in the trunk and the straps are left hanging out afterwards, they will fall into the trunk. You must balance them on the trunk lip before closing it (rather than placing them inside and letting the straps hang out), otherwise the straps I think it would be better if the straps were a couple of inches longer (so that the rubber tube sits on the trunk).

Your patronage of good ideas is greatly appreciated
4/5

the kind of guy who likes to put his small car on a roof (e. g. When I got my new kayaks, I ran into the same problem. In addition, you noticed that there are no connection points anywhere near your bumpers, which are made of vinyl, and even if there were connections, each rope would rub against the paint on your trunk lid and hood. There's no doubt that these loops perform well. These can be caught in a seam anywhere (hood, trunk, door, etc. ), so you'll have a secure tie point wherever you use them. However, they do need to have a stainless steel or brass hook or loop at the end so that the rope does not wear out the strap (after a lot of use). A stainless S hook was added to a side of the strap and the end was squeezed around the strap to prevent it from falling You have a good idea here. Purchasing these loops will let you keep them in the trunk of your vehicle if you have a roof rack. As soon as they are available, you will be pleased to have them.
