Questions & Answers

It seems quite soft, doesn't it?

It does not contain any metal. There's a hard rubber feel to it all. As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't leave any marks on my boat and it isn't very compressible.

Are there any screws on the center of the roller to attach it to the trailer or is it just one piece?

The two pieces come together with a center hole ,that a bolt runs through, and a bolt and nut must be used. In order to grind mine down on both ends, I had to grind both ends down. There is a 17 ft winner bass boat that I own. In place of the worn out old old great, this is the replacement

This seems to be polyurethane, isn't it?

This is probably a polyurethane of a hard consistency. Semi-hard plastic sort of like that. My trailer's original handle appears to be less pliable than this one

Also, do you have the hardware for mounting this roller?

It does not come with any mounting hardware, but since it is the same size as our old one, we were able to use it without any problems.

You're as hard as a rock! As good as it gets! There is no other way to describe this roller
3/5

I find it a bit disappointing that it has no flexibility. As you can see from the picture, it's a solid unit and not in any way like it appears in the picture. It looks like it will be a rubber material, but by the picture it looks like it would be more flexible. However, I must say that it is some of the hardest plastic I have ever handled. For my small boat, I believe it will serve its purpose well as a bow mount roller. Although it will not cushion the boat during transport or loading, it will provide a lot of support while towed. i have included a few pictures so you can see what the actual product looks like. if you are looking for something soft, I would suggest going with a rubber.

Ironically, steel is also hard
3/5

While I can't knock it because I'm sure it will work for something, I think it's not as good as I had hoped. It is important to know this item won't be flexible at all if you are intending to use it as a bow stop for a fiberglass boat. I was not aware that this item would be so rigid. In no case would I use this as a bow stop for a fiberglass boat unless it was coincidence that it had the same shape as the.

The quality is excellent, and it is very durable
5/5

Initially purchased this roller to replace a very old black rubber bow roller that broke after many years. The only thing better than cranking up your boat to a steel rod is driving home on it. 3X3 is the size of the roller I ordered. Measuring 3X3, it is three feet long and three feet wide. In spite of the roller's hardness, it serves its purpose very well despite being almost plastic-like. A roller has been installed on the boat and it has been loaded several times since then. I will be replacing my rollers and bunks very soon. I will be buying different sizes of the rollers so that every roller in my trailer can be replaced.

A replacement roller like this one looks like an excellent The surface of the bow has black scuffs from the old rubber rollers and crumbling blue vinyl over the years (? As far as I can tell, they appear robust, so we will see how they perform over the long term!

The roller that I received was hard plastic and a little different from the picture on the website
3/5

A yellow 3" SeaSense roller arrived in my package, but it is made of plastic and is solid. The wheel does not have spokes and is shaped like a U It has a U-shaped profile rather than a V-shaped profile. My expectations were for a more rubbery roller than a hard plastic one, but this will work for me, too. Despite its high price, it remains a good bargain.

Exactly what I needed for my special project
4/5

The roller comes in a transparent yellow color and it has solid sides I think the size is about 3"x3", but it will probably be about 1/16in or so smaller on one side more than the other. bought the roller for a special project, not for my boat, so I am unable to rate it wether or not it is useful. There are some differences between the product and the picture, which is why it only gets 4 stars. A boat would probably be just fine with it.

I'm as rock hard as a rock The center hole is half an inch wide
4/5

My 5/8" shaft was too large for the nut. My feeling is that it was so hard, it might damage the boat if it got into contact with it. This may be the case in some applications.
