As soon as modified, awesome
5/5

It feels like no one is mentioning about this mount that you can modify it to glide back and lock so you do not end up mangling your trolling motor or the plastic support arms when launching at steep ramps, and when it drops down on that front roller, it will look Other mounts solve the problem but many of them are way too expensive. Get this one, mount it according to the instructions, then slide it back so the motor and support arms are just clear of the boat's front edge, get a 1/4" tap, and you are good to go. Use the 1/4" tab lock that comes with this mount to tighten it down where the drill combo clears the front edge. Drill and tap where it clears the front edge. While trailering, you can now lock down the trolling motor either in an upright position or with the motor pushed flush against the front of the Thank you for letting me know.

When you remove your trolling motor for the winter etc, you will have no problems with this unit
5/5

In addition, it distributes the motor torque/ stress over a larger area, decreasing the chance of issues with a standard It's the second one I've had, I sold the old one with this mount, it's still in good shape after 15 or so years. If you are replacing or upgrading your motor, this is fairly unusual for minnkota.

Very nice bracket with a lot of construction
5/5

The Minn Kota is well made, so I'd say it's worth the price. The Deckhand 40 has a problem sliding into this unit once the bracket is mounted on my pontoon boat I have to remove the bracket and install a shim under it in order for it to work. There is too much tightness in this item! The bracket may only need a few fender washers to raise it off the floor in order to gain The process of bolting it on without an assistant is a little difficult.

It's a necessity
4/5

Motors at the highest end of the range should include this feature. This is a great item that works great. I could go on all day about how my $1600 rod should have had a trolling motor, but I guess it would make it a $1650 motor, and some folks may already have one. It is nonetheless necessary for you. If you are storing the motor over the winter, you should not leave it running. It is important to note that you will need a fairly small lock to secure it. There is not a lot of space in the hole. On Amazon, I found a couple of tiny ones.

I was extremely happy with the results
5/5

The powerdrive had previously been directly bolted to the machine. I was extremely happy with the results. Prior to installing my powerdrive directly on the boat, I already had it bolted. When you bring the trolling motor inside for the winter, it will be much easier. Furthermore, I didn't have to drill any more holes in my boat as I was able to use existing holes. The installation was also simple since I was able to use four existing holes. This product is highly recommended, do not be without it. A padlock feature is a great way to secure your device.
