The remote can be controlled with the foot pedal as well as the hand. I have no issues with either. There is an electric foot pedal on this. Foot pedals do not operate on cable steers.
It's very simple to disconnect the plug if it has a quick disconnect. Installing one might be a good idea if you do not have

A lot of searching around led to the conclusion that this one was the best deal. I like the quality of the parts, the wires are thick, and the trolling motor works well. * Be wary, however, of the Mount hanging over the bow of the boat. The mounts for some previous motors are behind the current mount. About 5 inches of this one overhangs the bow. Take a look at some videos showing the installation. There might be a problem with installing the bow since it hangs over by so much. The space between the bow and the Hull, along the top, could be an issue. My guess is that this will be installed on a smaller Bass Boat (under 18 feet tall). If you want to get the nuts on the bolts, you must go into the Bow and Hull space. The unit is heavy and would need to be fitted with different stainless steel hardware, although the top of the bow may be able to be attached using screws if it is reinforced. As soon as I had the mount installed, I moved on to the motor installation. I had no trouble installing all of the parts on the motor. It would be helpful if the directions were better. It appears that there is a "hard plastic spacer" located inside the motor that I am missing. While watching video clips, I found a piece similar that would fit the bill. As of now, I am still waiting on the response from customer support (it's been 2 business days). *******Customer service has not responded to my complaint at this blog. I've been waiting since nine days ago. footpad works very well.
The remote is very responsive (charge it while doing the install so that it is ready for use.
For once, it was nice to be able to fish from anywhere in the boat. Here are the things that I observed. The following is my rating for each of the three measures OVERALL THIS IS MY #1 ISSUE I have a bit of an overabundance As I've only used the foot pedal a little bit, I can't really comment on how it is to steer with the remote. After hitting right, left, and right again to try to center it better so the boat tracks straight, I find myself hitting right, left, and right again several times. As of now, I have not found a solution to this issue. It would seem like there ought to be some kind of micro adjustment to reduce the turn speed or to shorten the distance that the button travels per I used a compass to test and the head rotates 15 degrees with each button press. That would be more ideal if it were half that size. The following are the results of our study My mistake was that I ordered this item thinking that it was the GPS model, only once it was shipped did I recognize there were several models bearing We didn't know if CAYMAN referred to a variety of models. The following is a summary of the third hour. As I was installing the quick release base, I discovered that the threads on one of the bolts were crossed. I did not consider it a huge deal, but the fact that they got a piece of new equipment and the threads were poor makes you realize how much they save. On the bottom of the mounting bracket I had to drill it and use a bolt. I'm in 4th grade or the equivalent You do not have to remove anything from the side of the trolling motor to get the long handle release pin out of the quick release bracket. There is a light and an anchor in my way, which means that it may not be easy to get out. To also take this off I will have to unscrew my light every time because I currently have it mounted like this. I could move it, but how many holes should you enlarge your boat with. The following is a set of 5 measures No matter which way you spin it, it will keep going round and round. I think it would be better to have it only index 360 degrees, since in theory you could wind the cord right off it if you weren't paying attention or allowing someone to use it who was under the influence or slightly This device is not powered on or off by a switch. As there are no lights on the motor unless you unplug it, how long will it take for the battery to drain? After pressing the power button, I tried to sleep it but it would not go to sleep. I am 7 years old and I am in Grade 7. Having the battery in the front of the boat requires wireing direct to the battery with a 5-foot power cord. Nevertheless, this was not a big deal, as it wasn't indicated anywhere that the cables are so short. Overall, this unit seems to function well for the money. It has plenty of power, and its battery lasts long enough. You can mount it and use it easily. As I watch the side scan I will be able to troll while sitting at my console, viewing the rod holders as I watch the side scan.
I bought this as a birthday present. Getting it on his boat (16 ft Lowe aluminum boat) was very exciting-it is a new invention. His hands went straight to the package as soon as he opened it. I love it. We were out on the shore of the lake within an hour and a half of opening it. I think it took 45 minutes or so for the installation to be completed. There was a lot of awesome stuff on the lake! Despite the trolling motor's speed on the open water, it is still very smooth. Thank you so much! We are very happy with our purchase. Having a happy husband is a wonderful thing!.
The customer is not cared for. No responsibility is assumed. As soon as I purchased this product, I wrote a positive review. In the beginning, I did not have any issues with them, but now I can't speak to them by It takes days for an email to be responded to. The steering and the motor do nothing but spook fish when I use them for fishing. To have any chance of catching anything, I must anchor. On my other boat, I have a Cobalt Minn Kota and it's quiet as a mouse so I catch fish frequently. When the design of the motor is so loud that it scares fish away, then it is pointless to buy a trolling motor for fishing. As for the purchase, I would not recommend it because there is no customer service to speak to and they take days to complete their email responses with the same robotic answers that will not offer assistance. Don't be afraid of spending a little extra and cast a line with Minn Kota!.
The trolling motor I installed on my Pelican Bass Raider enables me to capture fish. Installing was very simple (once I established a FAKE Bow on which to mount it), as the quick disconnect mounting plate made the process very simple. With 55 lbs, it's very easy to put on and take off. The 36 lb motor moves the boat so much better than my big engine with 51 lb of thrust. A motor with the suffix T. I added 1/2 inch thick foam (cut to size) to the top of each switch and it seemed to improve the foot switch's effectiveness however, it is still very troublesome to use while wearing shoes. I plan on taking the boat out on the water today to test this more thoroughly. Without a doubt, I would have given you ten stars if you were to be able to I like the wireless remote control it's a great feature. I used it from the back of the boat on the maiden voyage a couple weeks ago and it worked great.
The trolling motor I have is incredible! I’ve never used a foot pedal driven trolling motor before, but this one is more powerful, more reliable, and more stable. The battery lasted on full power for a whole 10 hour tournament, and there is still 50% left.
In a nutshell, The only time I have used it is once, but I really like the way it performed. The remote control was my favorite feature of the bag. Easy removal was also a plus.
