This product will not work on the Minn Kota 45 Edge as advertised without cutting the end off and rigging your own attachment because the cord is approximately 10 inches shorter than the factory pull cord. When I called customer service, they were uninterested in hearing about it and offered no assistance. The product is misrepresented, and there is no support from the company.
Good day, the cord is 36" long from the point where it ties into the handle to the end. The "D" handle measures 5 inches deep by 5 inches wide. The rubber grip is three inches wide, and the width is five inches. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you require any additional information. As a bass fisherman who has sold just about every trolling motor handle on the market, I can say without a doubt that the BIG D is the best aftermarket handle available. Not sure. Minn Kota is the only brand that I use.
If it's an automatic deploy, you shouldn't need one; if it's a cable deploy, you might. It works perfectly with my motorguide, which is cable assisted. I hope this has been of assistance.

The large D trolling motor handle is a solid piece of equipment. It was easy to set up and only took a few minutes. I had to shorten the wire because it was too long for a Minn Kota fortrex, which has a flimsy little string handle. I used the clamping mechanisms that came with it and added some blue loctite just to be safe. It is manufactured in the United States by a reputable company. br> Outboard racing shop with a good reputation. br>On Amazon, the seller is regarded as one of the best. My inquiries were nearly instantaneously responded to. In two days, we were able to deliver all over the country. br>Everything is fine!.
I was having trouble getting my rhodan trolling motor up in rough water and eventually fell overboard. That night, I ordered this and it was well worth the money because I can now get it up from inside the boat. The cable was simply wrapped around the shaft's ram ball mount.
On my motor, the handle only lasted about 8 months. The exterior coating of the cable showed no signs of wear, but when lifting the motor, the interior cable snapped. To replace this cable and handle, I will most likely use a different brand. I would not buy this item again, and I strongly advise you not to.
It was simple to install and performs admirably, far superior to the factory-installed ones. It is also extremely comfortable.
Be careful who you buy from. My trolling motor was not compatible. There are no clear instructions, no information on which models it fits, no information on which hardware to use, and no instructions on how to use it. If it works with your trolling motor, it's of good quality.
On a Minn Kota 65 edge, it wouldn't work. It was necessary to return it. There are no instructions included with the product!.
Installing it was a breeze, and it was extremely comfortable on the back.
