According to the measurements you gave, I believe that these are the dimensions of the package. I bought two About 13 inches are taken up by the battery side, and about 9 inches are taken up by the trolling motor side of the set. About 5/16'' is the diameter of the terminal connector on the black wire and about 3/16'' is the diameter of the terminal connector on the red wire. There was no problem getting on and off the terminal block.

Neither will the red terminal ring fit over the battery terminal nor will it fit over the waterproof 50 amp circuit breaker bolt. I will have to remove it, buy another 3/8" ring, and splice it into the red wire. The kit is intended to be quick. This is not something that can be done fast or cheaply. Additionally, the crimp connection points are not waterproof, so they have to be removed and replaced as well, as others have also commented on. If the connections aren't waterproof in this trolling motor kit, why are they selling it as a trolling motor kit? I was very disappointed and felt like I wasted my.

The product is of high quality but it skips the wire

It has a great connection feature as well. The leads are too short to be able to relocate the battery closer to the front of the boat, which is the primary reason I bought this product.
I never understood why some manufacturers cut corners on a few feet of wire. I suppose the accounting department told manufacturing to save money. The set up for the connection could be improved if that's all you want, but it's hard to suggest.
