I think you're being falsely advertised! The only fitting you get is a female one. After returning to the store twice, I did not get the male fitting in the photo this time.

Getting your Marine Repair done can be confusing for both owners and professionals!.

Especially when it comes to the fit, it could be better. It was difficult for me, too, to engage it with the motor fitting, but a little Vaseline on the mating ends made it much easier. The secret ingredient for smart mechanics is Vaseline.

It is a decent product, it does not leak but because it is made of nylon, it is a little bit heavy- A plastic material. It is definitely a bargain to get both ends for under $15. Not sure how long they will last. Mercury part for just the male end costs almost $60 as original equipment.

We fixed the leaky old fitting for a very low price. In my local retail store, they wanted 14 for the female side only (not too terrible), but I believe there was aluminum present. Although I did need to purchase an adapter and barb fitting for 5/16 inch hose, it worked fine.

This is OK, but it is plastic, and I can't imagine that it will last for I had to use my old 90 and the spring from it to adapt it to my 1983 Mercury 25 HP, as it didn't come with the correct 90 on the engine side.

The picture in the product description clearly shows that the male end fitting was missing when the product arrived.

The picture of the product is.
