You can lap the rings for a better fit if there are no pads inside the rings of this scope mount. If you have a Low Power Variable Optic like the Vortex Strike Eagle 1- then this mount is perfect for you. Six by 24mm.
In order to ensure a proper fit and prevent overstressing the hardware, we recommend turning the bolts 1/4 to 1/2 turn past the resistance and using a thread locker such as Blue Loctite.

Selected User Reviews For Primary Arms Deluxe Rifle Scope Mount - 30mm
My opinion of this mount is similar to those of others. My favorite optics from Primary Arms are its optical scopes, for which I have purchased over a dozen. The scope mount, which I ordered to mount the PA 4-, however, does not accommodate the PA4 It is surprising how poor the quality of the 14 scope is. This cheap Chinese mount is made of very soft aluminum with poor finishing, so it just looks like a lot of other cheap Chinese mounts. The paint job on the right side of the box needed a touch up since there was a spot of shiny aluminum on the left side. The one of the eight screws that kept spinning was a stripped hole, and that made me realize what it was. Thus, either the threads were messed up from the factory or they stripped out with minimal effort. The fit and finish is also a huge disappointment, not smooth and clean like their optics are. A lot of casting marks or tool marks are evident on Double checking to see where it was fulfilled led me to believe a Texas seller was reselling knock offs like the other $20 ones. It turned out to be Primary Arms directly from Rather than $60, I could have bought a set of Warne rings made of milled steel. My plans are to order Warne rings if/when this mount fails and use them from now on. The optics are excellent and I will continue to buy them, but the mounts are very bad.
It was too late for me to read that the torque was in the incorrect position when I was assembling the scope mount. The unit of measurement is pounds instead of feet Weight is lb. Well, I started torquing away trying to get to whatever it was in FT- I snapped one of the bolts cleanly off with over 1,000 pounds of force. The bolt I needed was in the mail to me within a week after I emailed Primary arms. As I sat there, I realized that there were probably no extras, and that I would need to pay. As a result, I was in awe when I received the email that they were sending some! This mount goes with a Primary Arms Optic I have that is a 1-inch tube I could not be happier with them because they work together and mount flawlessly!.
The mount I was given is disappointing to me. At the price point, I didn't expect much, but I thought I would get more than I did. The company sells this on its website, which surprises me. My expectation was that the machining would be rough and that the finish would be cheap. In my expectation, I did not anticipate the scope rings themselves to be oblong in shape. It is impossible for them to be round at all. There is also no capture of the mounting bolts. The one I sent back was faulty.
It's made in China, et al! This is very well done! It surprised me how accurate the machining was and how well it was finished. The ACSS is 6X24mm). For $60, this is a good deal. I get $00! I'd like to say it isn't a LaRue Tactical mount or an American Defense mount, but it does the job It will be interesting to see how durable and powerful it is and whether or not it can keep Nevertheless, I do not see any issues with this mount. If you need a mount that you are going to use on one rifle and leave on that rifle, this might be a great choice for you.
It is made well and is very Still not as heavy as the original. The screwdriver comes with a star head wrench in the box. The mount for this rifle is easy to attach to a picatinny 13 rail and it stays in place when it is placed. I use this to hold my PR 1x6 ACSS scope for my AR-15 I have not had a problem for 15 days. No matter what your budget is, this is a great buy. I recommend it!.
The screw that was cross threaded came out when I went to install the mount. A very disappointing mount for a PA. That is not what I would expect from a $60 mount. It's comparable to a $10 mount.
Mount for scopes that works well. The only downside is how heavy it is and that it does not have a QD mount, but in the field, it can be removed by working with the back of a knife. This mount, both in terms of function and price, is satisfactory to me overall.
The scope was purchased at the same time. Everything is working great and there were no problems with the torque specifications. This is a highly recommended book.
