Questions & Answers

Is it too heavy for a child to carry?

When filled with water, the weight is about 1 pound 12 ounces. It depends on your child's age and strength; additionally, I am a short woman who can comfortably fit three of my fingers into the handle grip, with the fourth being a squeeze. I believe a child of five or older should be able to handle it; I included the weight of the Yeti filled with water for a more accurate weight. I hope you found this information useful.

Is there a magnetic lid for the Yeti that will fit this smaller container?

Thank you for taking the time to contact me. While I just checked with Yeti, it appears that they do not have a mag slider that will fit a 12 oz. Only the following caps, according to Yeti's website, will fit: RAMBLER BOTTLE CHUG CAP, RAMBLER BOTTLE MAGDOCK CAP, RAMBLER BOTTLE HOTSHOT CAP, RAMBLER BOTTLE 5 OZ CUP CAP, RAMBLER BOTTLE MAGDOCK CAP, RAMBLER BOTTLE HOTSHOT CAP, RAMBLER BOTTLE HOTSHOT CAP, RAMBLER BOTTLE HOTSHOT CAP, RAMBLER BOTTLE

Is there any water in it?

It doesn't leak, so don't worry.

Beware: Mildew on the lid of the straw hinge is difficult to clean
3/5

My twins have been using their kids ramblers since they were three years old in 2019, and it has held up well and is an excellent water bottle in every way for almost two years, with the exception of one major concern: Cleaning the silicone beneath the straw mouthpiece that opens and closes becomes increasingly difficult over time (see photos). Open the straw halfway or at a 45-degree angle to reveal the silicone piece. br>br>We've only used it for water, and I've tried a variety of cleaning methods (e. g. I've got a toothpick, a small brush, and some boiling water, but I can't get all the way in. I've also attempted to remove the spout (which would solve the problem completely), but it will not come off. I really wish this piece could be removed because the rest of the water bottle is fantastic. I'd be grateful if someone could tell me how to thoroughly clean the silicone, get underneath it, or even remove the straw mouth piece, and I'd gladly update my review. It's not removable, according to Yeti's cleaning support page. I've also looked online for ways to clean it but have come up with nothing. br>br>I had previously expressed my concern to Yeti, but had received no response. br>br>I have another child who uses a hydro flask, and I noticed that the straw spout is removable, making it easier to clean; however, it lacks the Yeti's nice wide ergonomic handle. br>br>At the moment, I'm on the lookout for a new replacement because I can no longer keep that area clean. Again, these are fantastic bottles; just keep an eye out for mildew in the silicone area over time.

Yeti will not honor the seller's warranty
3/5

I ordered two of these and really like the one that wasn't defective, but the pink one's spouts were dented and the tip fell off. For a week, we were able to use it. I'm unable to contact the seller for some reason, but I figured it wouldn't be a big deal since I'd already registered the prof with Yeti. The yeti, on the other hand, informed me that because it says seller: AMAZON LLC, it's a possible scam, and they're not going to honor the warranty. Yeti has dissatisfied me to the point where I'm angry. When asked what happens when you register a product, It is explained to me that it has no bearing on the warranty and is simply a way for me to express my gratitude for the purchase. I was extremely disappointed. It would be fantastic if someone from Amazon could get in touch with me about this!.

THESE WERE MADE IN CHINA
3/5

An additional Chinese-made item - I'm not sure if it'll work or not - However, I would not be 29. A thermos made there will set you back $95. When I saw these at Whole Foods, I decided to buy two of them - What a waste of time! br>Should be required on all items sold in the country where they are manufactured. It's a swindle! br>.

It's superior to a hydroflask
5/5

This is far superior to the Hydroflask water bottle in terms of design.

- The hydroflask kid bottle has a silicone sleeve that ensures your water bottle will tip over rather than slide if you accidentally knock it. When you remove the silicone sleeve, the paint begins to peel away. The Yeti's bottom is made of unpainted stainless steel, so there are no paint chips.

- The handle of a hydroflask is just big enough for one finger to slip in, only to catch on something and twist it off. The Yeti handle is large, so it's not really an issue. Holding this item is simple for small children. It's simple to attach something to it with a clip. If it falls just right, the nozzle will not touch the ground if you drop it.

- The bottom part of the nozzle on the hydroflask is difficult to clean because it is at the bottom of the bottle. Because the side of the bottom of the nozzle on the Yeti is exposed, I don't have to worry about anything growing there that I can't see.

- The lid of the hydroflask must be perfectly aligned or it will not thread on properly. It's impossible for my 5-year-old to accomplish. The threads on the Yeti are on the inside of the bottle, which ensures that everything is aligned correctly and that it is simple to put on.

- The yeti lid's plastic appears to be tougher. The hydroflask lids have been damaged, but the yeti appears to be in perfect condition.

- The hydroflask has a higher nubbin on the nozzle that, when closed, plugs the air hole than the yeti. That nubbin broke my friend's daughter's tooth. As a result, the lower the number is, the better. br>br>12 oz is also a good size. I believe I will purchase one.

We have the kids Hydroflask and love it, so this is a great addition to the Yeti line
5/5

What I don't like about it is that it's too wide for our stroller (with the silicon bumper). cup holders for car seats - This isn't a deal breaker, but it is inconvenient. I was curious to see how the Yeti stacked up against the other two. It's a little taller, but it's about the same width and holds the same 12 oz. Smaller hands will find it easier to carry the handle. Everything else (the "leak") is a mystery. I trust Yet's durability and the extra straw is a major bonus; this cup will last a long time. br>br>If you already have a Hydroflask, I don't think this cup is necessarily worth the upgrade. br>br>If you already have a Hydroflask, I don't think this cup is necessarily worth the upgrade. But, if you have to choose between the two, I'd go with the Yeti!.

First, make sure yours works and isn't dented; the size is ideal for my preschool-aged daughter
3/5

They could either bring a water bottle or drink from the fountain, so we decided to give the Yeti Rambler a try instead of the Hydro flask we already have because the handle on top makes it easier for her to carry around. Just keep in mind that opening and closing it is still a challenge for a toddler. br>br>The biggest complaint I have is that it came in clearly dented. br>br>People have complained about water coming out, but we haven't had any problems with ours. br>br>The biggest complaint I have is that it came in clearly dented. A ding and some peeling paint can be seen in the photo. I'm disappointed because I expected my toddler to do it and not already be broken. I don't want to go back because she needs something to drink from, and she's already started school.
