Mats of this quality are terrific. If you want a big stall mat of the same quality, you can buy it for $32 at Southern States and save a lot of money.
In my order, I received 4 The widths of the 24x36 mats were 24, 23, 20 despite the lengths being extremely close to what the website said. I will make specific notes on that. However, now that I have to trim them, ultimately reducing the size that I paid for, and they advertised, I will not be able to get a 4x6 section as I expected. Further, the cuts they made are not straight, and when the mats are put together, there is a large gap between them.
In my lifting area, I placed 2x3s on each side, and I found this to be very useful, especially if weight is being dropped and offloaded. As if they were champs, they took the weights It appears that there is some piling that is coming off, however I expect it to stop after it has been used up completely.
In the end, I had to cut a two-foot by three-foot piece in half after it arrived, so I now have two -foot by three-foot pieces Two by one. There are 5 pieces to each 5' piece. I put one half of the barbell under each end of the barbell when I deadlift so that when I come back down and inevitably strike the weights against the ground, I don't have to worry as much about damaging it. Although I already have spacers down on the floor, they are much softer and do wonders for human feet, but aren't as effective as barbells loaded with weights. In the same vein, if I am ever too lazy and leave my weights out on the softer mat for a couple of days, I will eventually get an indentation in them that may eventually go away, but often continues to bother me for a long time. I haven't left the difficult one in there for more than a day yet, but it seems to be performing better. Besides providing an added benefit, the mats lift the bar by 3/4", which, from what I have found, is near what would have happened if there were bumper plates instead of the raw cast-iron 45 lb plate having the largest diameter. The sensation now is closer to that of lifting "regular" sized weights (if that is important You've got to hear what's next! I am not an exceptionally tall person, so when I bench press, I find it quite uncomfortable to try to sit my feet flat on the floor as you should. With these 2 mat halves, I can now put something beneath each foot and this 3/4" increases the overall feel of the product. There is a smell to this item and it leaves little rubber pellets as soon as it is new, but both of those problems seem to have gone away now that I've had it for a little while.

To protect my concrete floor when I do deadlifts, I cut this in half and place it on the floor. It doesn't matter how much weight you lose on them. These things will keep going!.
The are very heavy duty and only weigh a few pounds. I really like these. This is a very heavy duty product and we do not smell any odor from them. It is a bit on the expensive side, which is why I deducted one By the way, It is the Tractor Supply Company where I bought heavy duty 3/4-inch mats. You can get them for much cheaper, but beware their stench is absolutely awful. As soon as they got into the room I had to agree with my children about how toxic they smelled in the car. It was impossible to work out in an environment where there was such a strong odor. I did not save enough to make it worth it. My return is going to the store now.

There are a couple issues with the cut and it sheds some on the side, but it's good enough for The bag is placed on both sides of the bars where heavy weights will be placed during deadlifting for extra reinforcement. When I opened it out in the carport, it shed some as it was opened out of the box and had a semi-strong odor, so if you plan to do similar, I recommend opening it outside and letting it vent a little bit. As of now, I am satisfied, and I think this will be sufficient when deadlifting 300 pounds or more. In any case, I do not drop the weights, but I return them to their original position as well as possible. It becomes more difficult to control heavy lifts as the weight goes up, so this cushion will help when the weight is lowered again.
