Questions & Answers

A replacement of the sensor is all I need to do. Can you tell me what the part number is ?

There isn't a sensor that can be purchased separately. In the past I have purchased bike computers that come with both the sensor and the computer integrated into the package regardless of brand.

It is the spoke magnet that I need. Could you tell me where I can find that item?

You can find the hardware store in your area. It was there that I received a replacement magnet. I glued it to a piece of paper that wasn't exactly the right size

What are the pros and cons of placing magnets on rear tires?

There is too much distance between the computer and the sensor and magnet for that to work

Do you have a temperature display?

There is no hope, unfortunately

A great unit if you do not have any other electronic components on your motorcycle
3/5

It is a really nice unit, EXCEPT FOR- You should not have anything else on your handlebars or stem (phone, flashing LED light, etc), as this will interfere and cause this device to malfunction. In calling customer service today to inquire why the current speed was occasionally dropping to zero while the "X" kept flashing, I was told this. As I watched it more closely, I saw that the X was flashing really fast when this happened, and not surprisingly, it overtook the X. It is estimated that my distance is about 10% shorter than it really is. In the customer service conversation, the customer service rep explained it was going to happen with both analog and digital meters. The only way to get around it is via wired or GPS (which does not use sensors). It would never have occurred to me to purchase it if the website warned against using if you have a mobile phone with Bluetooth (or a flashing LED light) on your handlebars. This item will be returned to you.

It's awesome that the Cateye Urban(+) exists
5/5

From a bike shop I purchased my first unit, a Cateye Urban (with no Since I liked the unit so much, I ordered another from Amazon ($20 cheaper) for my spare bike. However, I was not aware I ordered the Cateye Urban+ (with backlight) from Amazon. The backlight worked perfectly, and I loved the unit so much that I replaced the first. A friend and I each bought two Cateye Urban+ batteries from Amazon (one for the spare bike, the other for the spare). Despite being a little time consuming, the setup and installation went smoothly (less than 6 minutes). An excellent product! I highly recommend it! The following is the SN In case of an installer error such as myself, have a few spare tie wires on hand! As I tighten the wires around the wheel spoke, I pull them out! The incident did indeed take place, and I am ashamed to admit it. There was a pack of small tie wires in my stash, so I was able to use them. As well as the Cateye strap for on the handlebar, I purchased the Cateye bracket for in front of it. I enjoy it very much!.

Do not let yourself be tempted! Easy to install is not the case
5/5

It is recommended that the sensor and the reader have a distance of 5mm. There was a lot of searching involved in finding a perfect place To read the sensor I had to tilt the device. Furthermore, there are only two self locking cable ties included, which makes it impossible to make In any case, I wish you luck finding the right color self locking cable ties that are appropriate for I would like to suggest the following I would appreciate it if you gave.

Having a small computer is attractive to me
4/5

I like a computer that is small, yet has large numbers that can be easily read, and which is easy to use. The button on the face of this unit set it apart from other units. can be controlled by pushing the face of the machine, which makes them easy to use, but makes them easy for users to inadvertently reset them. Whenever I stop and take off my Camelbak, I set it on the bars, and it will make those other computers look smaller. There is no possibility of an accidental reset with this one. That's exactly what I'm looking for.

It is an excellent tool for cyclists who do not need to take on too much It was ordered after I was flicked by someone who had a CatEye Velo 9 wired computer
4/5

(I still mentally curse him now and then. ) It is still unclear to me what purpose this served since he merely cut the computer from its mount and left the sensor and wires untouched
Going wireless would then seem to be the most logical conclusion. It was a breeze to install the mount and the computer, however meeting the magnet and sensor proximity of 5 mm or below does give rise to anxiety, as one might think that should the sensor shift, it might damage any spokes that come into contact with it. As yet, we do not know how that will pan out. The sensor position did not appear to shift during a test ride after installation. It took me some time to get used to the fact that the reset/menu buttons are on the underside and you have to select via Overall, this is a great product for anyone who wants to get all the basic information and be wireless at the same time.

Under 32 degrees, the device does not function
3/5

This appliance is not as efficient in the winter, says the manual. " I use one of these on my hardtail, and it works really well. It cannot function below 32 degrees on the fat bike I got. Batteries have been replaced, and the placement has been verified. In addition, the bracket was so brittle that I snapped it off just by pushing the button. Using a lamp at night is hard when you want to read.

I am very satisfied with the product
5/5

In order to track your tours, you will need to use this application. It shows your cruising speed, average trip speed, maximum speed, and distance traveled on your I like the fact that the vehicle has an odometer as well. There is no way to reprogramme the odometer. Starting from 0 is the only option for the new computer. It is possible that there are more functions on this computer, but these are the ones I use the most. It's a nice unit with a lot of bang for your The mounting piece that came with the Easy Racers Ti- attaches easily, but I made my own for the There is a rush.

This device has a lot of functionality in a small device
4/5

It was hard to get my tire magnet to pick up the back of the device at first, but as soon as I did, it was great. The world is a beautiful place! I'm not sure how accurate the distance measurement is It may differ slightly from one of my riding partners, who also has a different brand / type of bike, but only 2/10ths of a mile makes no big difference. It's great to have a bike that is so functional and minimal!.
