I haven't been able to do so. You should be able to.
There is no magnetic back on this item.
Stopping the beep is as simple as pressing the Start/Stop button, which also resets the timer to the previous setting. To restart the countdown, press the button once more.
As far as I can tell, it does not turn off. If you won't be using it for a while, it's easy to remove the battery.

It's great for keeping track of time on a PT's desk or table, but it's terrible for keeping track of your own gym time. Why? It does not have an on/off switch. It is constantly starting by accident due to a bump from something in my gym bag, then counting down and beeping. I'm not sure why they didn't just put a simple on/off switch on there, but they didn't. And I shouldn't have to remove the battery every time I use it to stop it from beeping.
My only gripe is that you have no control over the volume. It's not a big deal, and it's not a significant enough problem to warrant a lower rating. It's just that when others are nearby and watching/listening to TV, etc. , it'd be nice to turn it down a little. I find this timer to be very simple to use and it works perfectly. I've started using it in the kitchen because I enjoy it so much. As a result, I intend to purchase a new one in the near future. Cheers!.
but. I'd been looking for a timer for a long time and finally found one. I needed a countdown timer for my physical therapy exercises at home; There isn't even a kitchen timer. I only time some of my stretches in seconds. With a nice display and ease of setting and use, the BodySport Digital Timer is ideal for this. br>br>If it weren't for one feature, the overall rating would have been 5 instead of 4. Each time the min and sec buttons are pressed to set the time, a loud beep is heard. This means that when I set the timer for 30 seconds, I must pay close attention to this extremely loud attention-getting noise. 30 times I've heard the beep!.
It has proven to be extremely useful in terms of quick and simple readouts thus far. The design is simple. At first, I wasn't sure how to reset the time (hint: it's easy). Don't toss the package out before reading the instructions! ) But I figured it out after digging the directions out of the trash!.
" The first time I used it, a foul ball gave it a "jolt" from the fence it was attached to. Although it wasn't a direct hit, the ball did rattle the fence. The back clasp snapped right away. I still keep it in my pocket, but I'm not sure it's sports-ready until they add a stronger back hook.
On our eliptical, the battery compartment door would not close. We were in desperate need of a new timer. This one is ideal for our requirements.
This timer can be set to count up or down for a specific interval (such as 30 seconds). I like that it uses an AAA battery instead of requiring me to go from store to store in search of a specialty battery. It's a little bulky and thick, but that's not a big deal because I'll be using it to time my home PT exercises. This timer is far superior to the one I was using previously, which was advertised as a kitchen timer.
Running will not be an option for this buyer. As a result, during my physical therapy exercise program, I was able to use my Digital Timer exclusively. A smart purchase for any sports fan, especially when combined with a healthy lifestyle that includes a carefully monitored and measured workout routine, as well as a handy magnet feature.
