That is likely not something I would do. A portion of the top of the saver is open in which the banana stem is supposed to protrude. There is a leak in the bag. I think it would be better if the peeled banana was wrapped in plastic wrap first. Clearly, this is a carrier and not a storage device. It is not for long-term storage, but it is enough to make anything else smell like bananas.
