Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use it on an iPad?

IOS is the operating system on iPads, and Mac OS X is the operating system on Mac computers. Only Mac users will benefit from this. Compatible with all operating systems.

How big will this be once it's installed (in terms of storage)?

Please see B07ZK68YPS for the most recent product.

Is this compatible with Snow Leopard 10? Is it number six or number ten? After the age of eight?

By using the word "work," you're implying that this software has any usable functionality. On Windows 10, it will install, run, and be the same piece of garbage. 6 as 10. Install the pic version on a virtual machine to avoid the hassle. The PC version of the game is quite enjoyable.

How do I move the back half of a four-foot story in my multi-level home?

Purchase Parallels first, then Windows 4. 0 (not 5. 0). Following that, it's just a matter of clicking, expanding, and dragging. This MAC version is a completely different animal, with an impossible to use interface. I own both, and they are incomparable. Just toss out the MAC version.

Selected User Reviews For HGTV Home Design for Mac

There aren't enough features, such as more than two floors
3/5

Because there are few options for Mac, this is most likely your best option. When I compare it to the PC version of Chief Architect, this one appears to be a lot more jumbled together. The problem is that it appears that this is the only option for the Mac; there aren't many other options, so what's a Mac user to do? Chief and booting Windows, which stinks, are the answers if you're serious about home design. This option is available if you simply want to mess around. The software isn't very intuitive to use; they try to steer you towards 3D design, but that complicates things even more. You'll probably be fine if you start in 2D. Finally, it appears that the software was written under duress; there is no enthusiasm for home design here. The worst part is that you can't build a home with more than two stories. Yes, one floor with basement, yes, two floors without basement, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes Forget about two levels and a basement.

The User Manual is a complete waste of time! This is the only reasonably priced Mac-specific home design software that I've found
3/5

For the past ten years, I've been using Chief Architect. It had an adverse effect on my health. The HGTV show has promise, but my learning curve is extremely slow. The User Manual is the source of my greatest dissatisfaction. The directions appear to be more general in nature. They don't explain how to complete tasks or make changes in any detail. Consider the following scenario: A two-story structure with a one-story addition is what I'm looking for. The primary building's first-floor walls are ten feet high, while the addition's walls are twelve feet high. This is something I haven't figured out yet. It's a huge annoyance. Is there a place where I can get more in-depth information? instructions in great detail?.

Very awkward and lacking in features
3/5

poor. On my PC, I've been using Broderbund's 3D Home Architect for years. It was a basic program with some limitations, but I was able to design several projects where I could see exactly how things would turn out and the contractor or architect could use my plan. It took a little getting used to, but nothing too difficult, and the manual solved the majority of my issues. It was adaptable and allowed for on-the-fly resizing of objects, which was a significant advantage. It also kept doors and windows away from corners so that casing could be installed. Cabinets were simple to assemble and resize, as well as to design, with the number of drawers and drawer heights clearly marked. br>br>Then I got a Mac and expected to find a similar program (after all, design is its strong suit), but there aren't many options for a simple home design program. br>br>It wasn't with HGTV Design that I found it. The process of erecting walls is simple, and the dimensions are clearly displayed, but that's all there is to it. There are so many things that irritate or frustrate me that I can't possibly list them all. There isn't enough time to go over all of them, but here are a few: The cabinet options appear to be numerous, but they appear to be redundant, leaving you with a collection of too-small cabinets. small- Fixed designs are preferred over nice, flexible generic designs that can be customized. I was unable to locate any corner cabinets. The size of the cabinet does not imply that it is front-facing. return the dimension of "depth" The plan's dimensions are fixed - After unlocking the object, you must type in the size in the "Inspector" and then guess which dimension you really want to change. There is no picture of the object you're trying to resize, and there's a weird "maintain aspect" mode that locks dimensions into their original proportions by default, so if you change one, all the others change as well. You can turn it off, but you'll have to do it every time; whereas it's simple to flip an object, changing the direction a door opens requires switching to a different screen. Text is difficult to add, and some objects (such as a stove or sink) simply appear as a blank rectangle in 2D - It doesn't have any burners or a drain to indicate what it is. br>br>Don't go for a walk in 3D view because there's only one way through the exterior walls - north. You must find a door to return inside after exiting from the inside. Printing is a waste of time - It prints everything on the screen, including the plan, which means that if you only want the plan, you'll have to resize it and then print the page with the plan on it, using Preview to figure out which one it is. There is, as previously stated, a mind-body connection. a mind-numbing array of generally unappealing patterns for surfaces and fabrics What if you could incorporate a coffee maker or a red bowl into the design? Whoopee! Give me more functionality and less froo-goo-goo-goo-goo-goo-goo I'd be a lot happier if froo and I could be together. There were a lot more bad things that happened to me, but you get the idea. br>br>This is a horribly designed program that I cannot recommend at any cost.

It was disappointing
3/5

This product disappointed me because it does not actually assist in room design, the furniture appears to be too large, and the program is difficult to use. I used a room that I had already decorated and the same furniture, and nothing worked in the design program, but everything worked perfectly in real life.

Beginners will love it
3/5

Now, years ago, I began work on a different product that I still hold dear to my heart in terms of remodling. This comes in second place. It drafts well, and the 3D is excellent; however, there are a few features that would make the design process go more smoothly, and would make it less time consuming than having to google image a window.

If I had known about the re-evaluation, I would have done it sooner
3/5

The cost of the stocking fee was. If I had known about the re-evaluation, I would have done it sooner. If the stocking fee had been the same as the HGTV home design, I would have kept it for the PC and simply re-stocked it. I placed an order for one for a Mac. Shame.

Make a 3D design

Great design environment to aid in the development of a finished product; the possibilities are endless! I would strongly advise everyone in this field to do so.

HGTV Home Design is a television program that airs on the cable channel HG It was excellent value for money; it had its limitations, but it fulfilled my requirements
4/5

It appears to have been taken directly from the SIMS.
