I'm using RootsMagic 6 at the moment. A radio button for "Family Tree Maker (2006 and earlier)" is available in the import wizard. "You also have the option of importing the file as a GEDCOM file.
Yes, but it will take up more than one page depending on the size of your tree. Small groups and lists are also available for printing.
Yes. Even though Windows 10 is a terrible product, it works well with Roots Magic.
It appears that this is a viable option. There are tutorials on the internet, particularly on YouTube, that demonstrate how to do this with a GEDCOM file.

I was getting way too many people and family names to keep organized on a regular spreadsheet, so this was my first family tree software, and it was simple to figure out right away. I was literally slipping through the cracks of time. Individuals and families can easily be kept in order with Rootsmark. I've now compiled a list of nearly 900 people and 450 surnames. Any of them can be easily navigated back and forth. Individuals can easily be updated with photos and documents. There is a lot of help available in the software and on the Rootsmark website; for a good basic understanding of how the familytree software works, watch their tutorial video online. Transferring data from one computer to another is the only issue I'm having. I manage to complete it, but I believe there is a more efficient method.
I've used a previous version of this software, and the new version is much better in terms of detail entry and ease of use. This program's GEDCOM compatibility makes it easy for the average person to trace their ancestors and keep track of details like photos and documents. Its ability to track details encourages users to gather information from elders before they pass away, such as who is who in the box of old photographs that are common in homes.
I bought the latest version of RootsMagic. August 2009, there were four of them. I'd been using another genealogy program for 20 years, and while I was pleased with its ease of use and capabilities, it couldn't display citations in the style recommended by Elizabeth Shown Mills in "Evidence Explained. " "br>br>I read a lot of reviews and tried out a bunch of free genealogy software demos. The citation routines in RootsMagic 4 left me very impressed. I spent months converting a small project I was working on from my old program to my new one. I didn't realize there was a major flaw with RootsMagic ver. until I was well into the project. The citation format field names, not the actual citation, are uploaded. br>br>I value the opportunity to share my work with others. Work that lacks citations makes it difficult for the reader to assess the data's quality. I called RootsMagic's customer service line seven weeks ago. I have received no response after exchanging files to assist in locating the source of the problem and being told that Tech Support would look into it. At four weeks, I inquired again, but received no response. br>br>This is an excellent program if you only want to share your work via paper copies. If you plan to share GEDCOMs with non-family members, I strongly advise you to look into another program. RootsMagic 4 is the fourth installment of the popular RootsMagic series 1 users.
I work in IT and bought this item as a gift for my mother. She'd only had a computer for about a year, but after going through the excellent tutorials, she was up and running in no time. She was quickly entering data, and it is extremely well-organized, which I would strongly recommend to anyone. We like how you can scan photos, documents, and other items into the software and associate them with people or events.
I gave up on Family Tree Maker in favor of trying this product, which is a straightforward program that you will not be sorry to try.
This software, Roots Magic Family Tree Genealogy Software, did not provide me with what I was looking for. A large genealogy chart is too difficult to read clearly. It was difficult for me to deal with.
My husband is very interested in our family's genealogy, and this program has assisted him in learning a great deal.
