Questions & Answers
It says to rinse the tank first, which is the next logical step. I didn't follow this step, which resulted in a very cloudy tank for the first week.
As far as I know there is no sand left on the pavement, but as per the review, the sand clears up quickly
Essentially this is coral sand that has been crushed into tiny pieces. A hard shell for snails is a result of it. now have a few Nerite and Apple snails living happily with it, and all my previous "soft water" shell weaknesses have been eliminated.
Whether you like thin or thick substrate depends on how much you like it. In my tank, I do not go higher than 1" and I have a 1200 gallon tank and a 650 gallon tank. (2) I used this sand to make my sand filters. In any case, this should be sufficient for 5 gallons.

A very high quality white sand, this one has the perfect grain size, it arrived super clean, and it got to me in perfect condition. The sand from the Caribbean was used in a tank transfer after getting rid of it. There have been no diatom blooms in my aquarium because my PH is perfect. The purchase has been a great experience.
If you want benefits of true oolitic or you just love how finely ground this sand is, I recommend it - it is very good grade and smooth. A consistent approach. There is no big chunk of anything here at all.
The water in the tank looks beautiful, but it was impossible to rinse clean! It took me more than a dozen rinsings, compared to other brands I've tried. A few days from now, I'm going to use my sponge filter to get it crystal clear. You will find out if it was worth all the effort in due time.
It is a nice white sand that will blow around if powerheads are too close to it. I find it to be very beautiful.
Bought 3 bags for my 50 gallon tank and they love it as well. Having fine and white sand, my fish would poops. With my net, I was able to scoop up a pile of sand that had accumulated in my aquarium. There's nothing better than this sand for my goldfish.
It is in great condition and arrived quickly. The new sand was rinsed in a big bucket until it ran clear, and I put it in my tank as usual. Never in the history of the tank has it looked so good.
The product is high quality and will be purchased It looks great.
