I have only used it a couple times, but it seems to do what it's supposed to. The only reason I give a real press is because I'm scared it will hurt my little guy, and it seems to distract him, which is what I hope it does. In a way, it works like the "Shhh" method of Caesar Milan. Turn the brain in a different direction. There's nothing I don't like about my life. I look forward to using it more, but it seems to have stopped him from barking inadvertently after one morning. I could be wrong, but it is too early to tell if it is working.

My son's Australian Shephard jumps up on me when I visit him, so I ordered this to try to teach him to stop jumping up on me. While he is in a very happy state and is showing affection, he has been known to bruise me more than once. He did not seem to be deterred by this, though I hoped it would. The second time I tried it was when I was keeping my daughter's ShiPoo and she was barking at the neighbors I began to hit the device repeatedly and it did not seem to deter her in the least.
