Questions & Answers

What kind of shock training is available with the device?

In short, yes. There are three modes available on the Delta XC. You should hear a tone, vibrate, and shock at the same time. Depending on your preference, you can select either a high or low shock level, or a momentary or continuous shock. Our dog stopped counter surfing by using the vibrate mode indoors when we were learning to control him.

Can you tell me if it comes with barklimiter?

This model is not the right one. Dogs in the Delta Sport XC have bark limiters built into them.

The charger is included in the package?

In short, yes. This receiver and transmitter charge at the same time if the collar is activated at the same time.

This is a very short range shot
3/5

The impression is not good. Towards the end of June 2017, I purchased this system. When I did routine obedience training at close range, the dog seemed to be able to see me very clearly. However, when I began working him at greater distances, the dog seemed to only see me about 50 yards away. The inconsistency was tested by having my wife operate the handheld and me take the collar device and pace off the road until we lost the connection. This was on a straight line of sight with no obstacles in our way. It does not have a function of any kind, tone, vibrate, continuously or momentarily. but did not receive an answer, so I requested a RMA to return for warranty. I am still waiting for the RMA to come in. I am using my second Delta XC collar after the charging socket on the first one failed to work after two SportDog and Dogtra may be of interest to me.

Training collars designed by Garmin don't live up to expectations
3/5

My expectations were so much higher after paying $300 for a training collar. In spite of the fact that both of my dogs weigh over 80 pounds, neither of them paid any attention to this training collar. To make things easier, we switched back to our cheapo collar for now. The build quality is excellent, and it feels much better in the hand than many of the other ones I have used.

I have also tried to reach out to Garmin to see if they will be able to assist with the problem. When I first contacted Garmin, it had been over an hour before a representative called back, after which I was hung up on. After calling the support line again, I had to start over again, and the wait time was even longer, so I quit. If you have a big dog, you shouldn't bother with it. If you want the same quality for less, or the same price, there are other high-end brands that are worth a try.

Now that our Golden has become golden, we are During the 9 months of his life, the 9 month old golden retriever was bullied for attention and chewing on things
5/5

With the help of this product AND a great trainer, we have been able to achieve great results for At first, we weren't keen on the idea of a shock collar, but it transformed our lives. In just a few short weeks, he learned his place in the family and is now Usually we need only our own sound and vibration, but it is rare to need more than those. In most cases, he is shocked on a very low setting (under 5), and he weighs about 75 pounds. This collar has not caused any issues for us. Dogs play biting battles with the neighbor's dogs in snow and mud, and in creeks and creeks. Our battery life is sufficient for our needs, it is reliable, easy to use (when properly trained), and it is very reliable.

This is junk
3/5

This is a waste of time and Objects of junk, Objects of This is actually a bit of an upset because I purchased this item a year ago and the battery life lasted nine months. I was unable to return it. It worked for my rescue dog who is a leash reactivity, though. So, I purchased another one. My phone didn't even charge. I returned it, sent another one out because I thought it was defective. Not at all! I wonder if the battery is dead, or if the device holds no charge after sitting in the Amazon warehouse for so long. I will never repeat that mistake That's 100 times what I said. Piece of junk worth a plus dollar!.

We found it to be very useful
5/5

1 out of 10 is good. He is a lab/hound mix of five years who has a great personality as well as a lot of energy and stamina. There is no doubt that he is an avid It was his assertion that an off-day should be scheduled when he decided when to take an off-day It was almost time for a leash walk, which sometimes took 30 minutes Our decision to end it 45 minutes after we decided to do so, as well as the distance he would travel, which was often further Due to the fact that I've never used one before, I am not able to compare this one with others It is the first collar I have owned for my dogs (even though I have owned them for over twenty years), and we are very pleased with it. With the static electricity stimulation combined with a week of training, we rarely have to press a button anymore, and when we do, it is just to listen. The majority of his responses are now We noticed that our dog did not respond significantly to stimulation until level 12 of the initial testing, and we never went higher than 14 during We had to let our dog wear the collar all the way to 18 before I put it on myself. Even though some of the more expensive models offer finer gradations of steps, we never found the need for them. I'm glad to see that the battery is holding up well. It is necessary to recharge the collar unit every few days because we leave it on for most of the day. Due to the fact that we are not actually using the control unit much after the week of training, it holds its charge much longer.

Very nice set of pictures
4/5

There are some advantages and disadvantages to it as well. A review of this collar's pros and cons. ), while the collar receiver lasts maybe 2 days on a full charge and a full charge lasts a week. Although it isn't that important, the strap it came with is worthless. People who train all day, hunt, compete and more are going to need something that is as robust as the system. Those lanyards from the dollar store are much better, so I think they definitely need to upgrade. The following comments are in addition to the above Taking advantage of the collar's higher height would be ideal for dogs that are stubborn or have a high drive level. It is also possible that Garmin can make a system with more power. It has been a very sturdy set and I appreciate it, but I'd like it if the few things about it could be changed.

One of the best purchases I have ever made
5/5

There is nothing better than this collar. My pitbull got this as a gift. This was the only thing she could listen to us before I bought it. There are different settings and 18 shock levels you can choose from on the collar. This setting is good for the vibration, tone, and shock options. My dog knows you have to stop and come to me based on the tone. There is a vibration that says you aren't ready, followed by a shock which says you've made a mistake. Since I have only shocked my dog three times, I must admit that it hasn't felt pleasant. I usually find that my dog calms down once she hears the beeps. It's only the collar battery that I have a complaint about. There seems to be a need to charge it every two weeks There are 3 days to go. Yet, the battery in the hand held remote lasts up to a month before it needs to be recharged. It would be great if it was water-proof as my dog loves to swim and having to take off all her clothing before going in water is a nuisance.
