Is it true that this model can be operated manually without the use of a transmitter?
A transmitter and a receiver are required for this model to be used. The launcher can be triggered manually, but it is not intended to be used that way.
Is this ready to launch in its current form?
There is a string or cord that you must tie to the release, but other than that it is okay to use it without adjusting it.
Does this require a remote unit to operate or are there manual controls?
To distinguish the part that fires, I tie a light line around the front of the central cylindrical part (since I don't know of any other means of doing so). Observe how it functions and you'll see how easy it is to understand. When operating the launcher manually, you have to stand at an angle - it's easier this way!
What is the connection between this solenoid and the unit?
If so, then that is what opens the latch, assuming it is what triggers My picture did not post when I tried to post it. The only thing you have to add is the communication device I do mine manually.
