Questions & Answers
For an elderly cat, I used these instead of disposable pee pads. They are more effective than pee pads and last longer when washed on a regular basis. When washing them, avoid using fabric softener. I will never use disposables again.
They are capable of absorbing urine. They do a fantastic job.
No, not at all. However, I do not leave them down for long enough for an odor to develop. My dogs are small and have a tendency to run around a lot. As a result, they should be changed frequently.
This pad is made of cloth on both sides and has a waterproof membrane in the middle. It might work if you have a tape that will hold cloth to the wall, but aluminum foil or a roll of plastic wrap would be preferable. For my cat, I hang newspaper on the wall, but I have to replace it frequently. It allows me to quickly determine where "she" is spraying: According to what I've read, she sprays out of fear.

I've looked everywhere for a bedding for my guinea pigs that isn't Carefresh's paper bedding or the extremely expensive fleece bedding made specifically for guinea pigs. I paid $34 for four of these pads versus $54 for one fleece pad. These are fantastic pads. They're popular with the pigs because they're easy to clean and have no odor. I'll buy from you again without a doubt.
These pee pads were purchased for my senior dog, who is 14 years old. She is blind, so rather than leaving her in a kennel all day with no access to a bathroom or water, I keep her in my bedroom, where she can get up, pee, and drink whenever she wants. She pees a lot for a 4 pound pup. When I first opened and handled these pads, I was concerned about their absorbency because they felt thin, but after four days, there have been no leaks. They are a far more attractive alternative to white disposable pads with yellow spots. The flannel pattern, on the other hand, makes it difficult to distinguish between soil levels and feces; these pads have no odor, and my daughter quickly realized this is a bathroom. She was nervous at first because they didn't have a chemical scent to lead her. The pads are a good size, and getting four for this price is a good deal. If the need arises, I will undoubtedly purchase again. br>br>May 28, 2019br>It's been a little over a month since I've used and washed these pads. I usually leave one on the floor for a few days to get the most use out of it. However, a slight odor will develop as a result. It is noticeable, even if it isn't as noticeable as a soil disposable pad. Between washings, I keep them in a plastic bag. I cold wash them separately in plant-based detergent with oxy clean, but after reading a review in which oxy products were said to have destroyed someone's pads, I'm thinking about stopping. Fabric softener is never used because it reduces the absorbency of the fabric. I dry my clothes on the clothesline. I've noticed some color fading, which is to be expected given how acidic urine is and how often these are washed. Color differences can be seen in the first and third photos. They remain one of my favorites!.
I used to use fleece liners and had a lot of trouble getting guinea pig hair, hay, and poop out of them before washing them. Nothing sticks to these, so I can easily sweep away hair, hay, and debris before tossing them in the washing machine, which is a great solution. I'll be purchasing more in the near future.
These pee pads are exceptional. I foster a lot of animals and have tried nearly every type of washable pee pad on the market, and these are by far the best.
Based on the reviews, I decided to give them a try. There are two pit bulls in my house. Because they have a short coat, the amount of dog hair they shed is minimal. They're both housebroken, but because I live alone, they stay indoors while I'm at work, and they only pee before I get home to let them out on rare occasions. br>br>I was surprised at how well these things were retained and absorbed the first time they used it. I tossed it in the washer, and while it did a fantastic job of getting the pee out, the hair stuck on the underside is nearly impossible to remove. I'm the proud owner of a brand-new high-definition television. I've been using an LG washer and dryer for a while and have come to the conclusion that the dryer can and will remove hair from fabric in most cases. I'm not sure why, but the hair sticks like glue to these pee pads and refuses to come off. It's not a big deal because you can't see it because it faces the floor, but it's something to keep in mind if it's important to you.
My 10-year-old Australian Shepherd is suffering from UTIs and is urinating in the house on a regular basis. So I bought these, as well as some larger ones, to see which would work best. The good news is that they were immediately put to use by my dog. That felt so good! Even better, they absorbed the entire amount of urine and did not leak. These, on the other hand, are almost insignificant. Almost, but not quite: the entire pad is soaked, while the larger ones have some dry space left over. To give you an idea, with this infection, my daughter is urinating every 2 hours or so. She is 45 pounds in weight. Bottom line: these are fantastic, and they aren't just for puppies. However, if your dog is similar to mine in size, you might want to consider going up a size just to be safe.
poo. I went so far as to order them plastic holders. My puppy, on the other hand, managed to rip the pads from the holder and chew them up while playing with them. During my search for a solution, I came across these pads. They're fantastic! A small amount of moisture did seep through to the floor on a couple of occasions, but it was almost never noticeable. Every day, I use one. It's simple to toss this in the washing machine and dryer. When I put the clean one out, my puppy still plays with it for a few minutes, but she can easily be distracted by a treat. Also- a significant problem – Her training was still a challenge for me. Since I've been using these pads, I've only had one accident!.
