Will they decompose if they're thrown away?

Nothing decomposes in a landfill because it is sealed off from the outside world and has no access to fresh oxygen. br>br>However, these claim to be "home compostable" (not sure how that is tested/rated), so it should break down in a commercial compost facility at the very least. Unfortunately, most places don't allow pets, but I'd still choose compostable over non-compostable. Plastic-free environments are preferable.

If you have a Great Dane, this isn't going to work out
5/5

Because our dogs are still puppies, I waited about a month to review these. They are about 4 and 5 months old now and weigh just under 30 pounds each. I used to be able to easily snag 4-pound bags of dog food when the dogs were younger and had smaller but more frequent poops. In a bag, place six piles. However, they, like the piles, are growing in size. That was nearly impossible this morning due to the first day of eliminations. Because I didn't have a second bag with me, I had to do it, but it was awkward and a little messy. Two bags will accompany me to the airport tomorrow. br>br>The bags are extremely durable. They sit in a covered bin for a few days before I use them, and so far there have been no tears or leaks. I'd buy them again if the opportunity presented itself.

I'm nodding my head
4/5

These were purchased to replace the food storage bags that I had previously purchased. I tried another degradable brand of food storage bags (also from Amazon), but they were too small and the material was too thin to keep my cheese moist. br>br>Poop bags are the right size (9"x13") and are unscented, so I figured they'd work. They appear to be working so far (about a week). They're more durable than the bags sold for food storage, and the cheese has stayed moist as long as the bag isn't untwisted. The bags do have a smell to them (not an added scent), but it hasn't transferred to my food yet. br>br>However, I was surprised that a company selling compostable bags (to help save the environment) would use PLASTICIZED labeling on the (plain brown) cardboard box and include an (unrequested) MYLAR-style bag. TYPE (as seen in the second photo) is a decorative sticker. Furthermore, each roll of bags is held together by a small sticker (see first photo), which appears to be completely unnecessary. I try to stay away from adhesives, as the majority of them are made of plastic. br>br>Wake up, Pogi Brand! Make the switch to a more environmentally friendly product. Packaging that is environmentally friendly. Please do not send me a sticker that I did not request and will never use. Figure out a way to pack the rolls bags without using stickers on each one.

Bags of the highest quality Period
5/5

These bags are fantastic. I was given a non-alcoholic beverage. I liked the compostable version as well. People believe a bag is a bag, I understand. Some bags are excessively thin and prone to tearing. Some bags have an unpleasant chemical odor or an overpowering scent. While playing tug of war to separate the bags, some have terrible perforations, resulting in damaged and unusable bags. These bags aren't like the others. To be honest, I haven't had them long enough to see how they compost, but I am confident that everything will be fine.

It has a thin feel to it, but it is durable
5/5

I was relieved to discover a compostable dog waste bag because the thought of all that plastic waste just to throw away my dog's poop seemed daunting. We just tie the poop, cut it, tie the other end, and use the other half of the bag because it's big and we have a 5lb puppy. It has a thinner feel than non-compostable bags, but it does not leak or have rippable seams. They also appear to be easier to open than regular plastic bags, which is a significant benefit!.

Bag of High Quality: Long-lasting I've had no problems with these bags in over a month of use! They have a soft velvety texture and are light weight and thin, but flexible and sturdy
5/5

I've used these for multiple waste pickups, including times when I had to pull grass out of the way for a clean pickup, and the bags have never broken or torn! I even put my finger through a clean bag to see how stressed I was. Before the bag broke, I had gotten to the first knuckle! The small stickers on each roll can also be easily removed by gently lifting them. When I lifted a sticker from a new roll, I only had one bag tear. Each bag's top opens easily, and I can usually open it with one hand without needing to lick my fingers for grip. They even have images to help you figure out where the bag's top is! I'll buy these again in a heartbeat!.

Compostable poop bags are a huge plus
5/5

I was overjoyed to come across these on the internet, and I believe there's a joke about it: What will other species think if they find plastic bags full of dog poop thousands of years from now when they examine what human civilization has left behind? Please use compostable bags instead of plastic bags. These are far superior to other compostable poop bags in that they open easily, do not break easily, are sturdy, and, unlike plastic, will decompose. If you are unable to reduce, reuse, or recycle, at the very least seek out a compostable alternative.

Smaller dogs will benefit from this thin but sturdy collar
3/5

I was concerned at first because these are very thin and flimsy, and I have a 70 pound dog (i. e. a large poop They never ripped, though, and always kept everything in place. The sticker was simple to remove and did not cause the bag to tear. However, I will not repurchase because they are so soft and flimsy that they slide down your hand when you wrap them around your hand to pick up poop, and if your poop pile is large or requires multiple grabs, the edges of the bag can get poop on them, making it difficult to tie closed. This was my first time using any brand of compostable poop bags, so I assumed that was the case with all of them. However, I have since discovered another brand that is thicker and does not fall off my hand when scooping. These are probably fine for small dogs, but they didn't work for us.

The bags are fantastic
5/5

A few years ago, I did some research and discovered that "biodegradable" and "compostable" are not synonymous. You're still dumping plastic into landfills if you buy biodegradable poop bags. These bags are compostable and far superior to other options because they break down into tiny plastic particles that can then be disposed of in soil, groundwater, and so on. They're easier to open than most in this category, and they don't break down quickly if you keep them away from moisture and in a cool, dark place until you're ready to put your roll into your leash container.
