Questions & Answers

What happens when this gel dries - does it turn into a white powder like the "quick stop"?

This is not a powdery solid. It is a clear, very sticky gel that hardens after it is applied without becoming You can find other responses to your question on my website

What about birds? Is it safe to use?

Dear John, I'm not sure about the application process, but I can tell you that it would be very difficult, if not impossible. Almost like thick honey, it has a sticky consistency. If you are unhappy with this product, all I can imagine is frustration for you, and a very unhappy bird. Hopefully this helps. I like Lawrence's reply A spray collagen of medical grade might be your best bet, as long as it is safe. I wish you good

Do you think that this is There is a sponsored product that comes up whenever you search for vetigel. If it is not vetigel then is it perhaps ?

It is not the same thing as The gel is made of hydrolyzed collagen and works immediately to reduce wound bleeding by forming a plug or protective barrier (while also absorbing bodily fluids), soothe pain and itching, and reduce scarring by providing a cellular matrix for new tissue to grow.

After the wound has healed, what do you do to get the gunk off? So I don't have to ruin my dog's hair by getting it off with water, will this work?

EMT Gel and Spray should simply slough off after a few days. I suggest leaving it on as a protective barrier during the healing process, then allowing it to gradually wear off rather than washing it away so that you don't accidentally open the wound during healing.

This tube is full of magic
5/5

My experience as a vet tech prompted me to wish I had known about these things earlier. If I were to recommend a product, it would be this one. This product is the first I include in the first aid kit that I put in my dog's home and the one I give to all the neighbors so that they can This stuff heals wounds remarkably fast. Just imagine how we would be blown away if we could see. The little dog in my neighbor's yard had been attacked by a much larger one, and had multiple punctures that were fairly deep and long. As soon as I had shaved, cleaned, and disinfected the wounds that night, I applied the EMT gel until I could get it to the vet the next There was no swelling, inflamation, or infection the next morning due to its effectiveness in stopping the bleeding. I saw almost no scarring from the wounds after they had completely healed within the week. The solution worked well for me, which surprised me! A little of this stuff goes a long way and one tube lasts forever (and I use it on not only my dogs, but also all the dogs in the neighborhood). I would never recommend this as a substitute for professional veterinary care however, to be used in conjunction with veterinary care I would highly recommend it.

I am going to show you a miracle in a tube! It truly is worth all of the amazing reviews it receives
5/5

During a trip to the dog beach, he slid into a vent cover that wasn't flush, tearing the paw pad on one paw pretty badly. I had to wrap it for a few days, but it healed up nicely in that time.

This has been a life saver for me! This has been a life saver for me! The lump in my loving dog Bambi had opened and after three vets, none of them could figure out how to stop the bleeding and close it, so I ultimately had to close it myself and it completely healed and I am so very glad that she was not in Recently, she suffered a heart attack and I was sorry to lose her but I am grateful she was alive

Using saline to clean, gauze and cloth tape to protect her from bumps when she laid on hard surfaces, and styptic powder for the beginning of the process to stop bleeding, I used it as my first line of defense.

Oh my goodness, I cannot express how happy I am about this! For the past couple of months, my old dog has had a sore on its ear, and I have tried everything -- Her sore is in an area that it is not possible to cover with a bandage, so we tried sprays, Hibiclens cleaner, covering her with body suits, and placing her in a cone, but this is the only product that is effective
5/5

As it is super thick, it does not run at all, so it comes off There are reviews that suggest it's too runny, which get my head spinning. It might have been left in a hot car on a hot day, or perhaps This is what those who say runny/too liquidy are talking about, because this is that opposite! This product has made her feel much more comfortable since I put it on her. She has never once tried to lick it off or bother the affected area since I started using it. There is no doubt that it reduces the itchiness ten-fold This product is ten times better than anything else on the market. As well as reducing bleeding, it also helps with scarring. She no longer finds blankets covered in blood stains all over the place, and my washing machine appreciates the relief. It begins to heal the sore within hours, and forms a barrier that is rough to the touch, but protects the sore from contamination. HA! There REALLY is a liquid bandage here (well, gel bandage actually). It gets in touch with every surface she sits/lies on since hers is in an area where it gets in contact with everything. In fact, I just bought a second tube of this to keep in my medicine cabinet. It was made by someone I appreciate very much.

It worked well and did not contain any The hot spot treatment I bought was in response to my dog's allergy symptoms
5/5

My first step was to treat his allergies and then use this to protect him from licking the wounds while the wounds healed. I really liked it. That it's natural and there are no harmful chemicals in it makes me like If you are putting it on, be aware that it is sticky. Due to my dog's thick double coat (corgi), it was a bit difficult at first. I eventually bathed him after the wound healed to get rid of any gel residue. I only have one complaint it may be necessary to use more than one tube if you have several wounds to treat or if your dog is large enough to have multiple wounds. For the amount of money you get, it's pretty pricey. Thanks to the fact that I didn't use much, it will last me for a while.

This is a life saver
5/5

I used this gel on my dobie after he had a laceration in his front paw pad. It helped him heal fast! Intended to be delivered within 2 weeks Having been soaked a couple of times, the wound is beginning to dry up and stop oozing. The solution can also be applied thinly on the wound area using a cotton swab You can wrap up the licking wound to prevent your dog from chewing on In the absence of human help or assistance, dogs will just naturally try to lick the wound off as this is how they care for If you keep this in your first aid kit and some bandages on hand, not only will you be saving your furry friend tons of money but also you will be saving yourself the hassles of going to the vet!.
