Questions & Answers

A recent recipe change has occurred for the turkey and chicken flavors? There are more kibbles and they are I can no longer feed it to my dog. ?

I just spent 80 some dollars on two big bags, but the kibble is smaller, darker, and I'm not sure why. I hope my dogs eat it because this is the only food they like -- the chicken and turkey. The mail doesn't seem like the most cost-effective way to return two large bags. It's so funny when companies are sneaky!

Can you tell me what the protein percentage of this food is?

Protein according to the bag is 26.6% on a dry matter basis, but 28 in terms of wt. It is 9.9%. It might help to know that.

The food is safe for cats to eat, right? At the time I bought it, it said "pet food," but now it says "dog food." Is this normal?

There is a difference in the digestive system between dogs and cats. It wouldn't be good for a cat to eat this. In the event you need further information, I would recommend contacting T*br>Whole

What is the concentration of nitrates in this product?

A check of the ingredients has been made. A nitrate test did not reveal any results. Neither preservatives nor additives have been added to this food. The products that are in it are all natural. I invite you to give Merrick's a call at 800-382-2814 to find out more. There are pets. The following links will allow you to check them on line Here's to Goodness. Please visit www.com. The merrickpetcare website is also a great place to check out. Please visit www.com. Also, I know my picky dogs like it a lot, and appreciate how tasty and appealing it is. Do double check with me for nitrates, but I can't see anything on the label that indicates it.

I am looking for another brand of dog food
3/5

kibble that came in the last bag I purchased in December was a lot bigger than it had been previously. It would have been a good idea for me to have read more recent reviews because I would know the company was sold to Purine. I ordered another Dec bag yesterday that should arrive by tomorrow as I am on the last week of the December bag. The dog vomited a few times yesterday, I assumed she ate something outside. She vomited today as well, yellow bile. My son's dog vomited yesterday something that looked like the dog food I gave him yesterday. It is now concerning me to have a new bag arrive A brand other than the one my dog is eating will be sought by me. It is a great disappointment to me. A RECENT UPDATE My rating is just one star, and if I could, I would not give it any There is a bag of Grain Free Pork, Beef & Chicken in this package She is believed to have arrived on the 12th of January. In the morning 15 Jan 2017 at 8am, I fed my dog one cup from the new bag, and in the afternoon at 1pm, I fed him another cup. In the late evening, she vomited out both of her stomach contents -- it was the undigested food she consumed two cups of before. I will buy another brand of dog food tomorrow for my 110 lb Leonberger since she has never had problems eating. Based on what I've seen in your production and/or products, things seem to have changed. She wants to play after all, and she's clearly having a lot of fun. I'm greatly disappointed, and if she shows any signs of illness, I'll take her to the vet. In fact, I did post the Whole Earth Farms and Merrick Pet Care pages on my Facebook page. As of yet, there has been no reply.

Reordering is not worth the risk! We have had a dog that is sick after consuming Purina and their new bags! It outrages me to no end
3/5

The dog food we buy for our boston terrier has been around Every time we run out of something, I do a "reorder" on amazon. I am SO sorry that my poor dog got sick this time. Vomiting and bloody diarrhea were both symptoms of major intestinal distress for her. Since all she has been eating all along is her normal diet, we have no idea what happened. A spokesperson for the company insists that there was no change in the recipe. I gave one bowl of this to my dog and he recovered in a week. We spent forty on this item, since it is not returnable. You should beware.

All of Whole Earth Farms' products are grain free
3/5

I have been buying this product for over a year and the kibbles have changed slightly over the months. However, the last order I received (a few weeks ago) had completely different color and shape, making me think the food is something else. My dog will no longer touch the food. The smell does not bother my dog, so he ignores it.

For less than 20% less food, it's almost as good
3/5

Our move from Blue Buffalo Farm to Merrick whole earth farm follows our move from Blue Buffalo Farm to Merrick Farm two years ago. For less than 20% less food, it's almost as good. Although the Purina buyout of Merrick brands has begun to affect the company, there is no clear indication of what the effects were. Recently, we bought two bags of the Salmon recipe, and both times our dog has been extremely ill from the recipe. After being puked on, having diarrhea, and being lethargic for five days, it was only then that she finally started eating. We mixed some scraps into her wet food, turned back to the salmon and then kept switching to scraps and wet food. After two days, she was once again very sick!.

There is no better treat for your dog
5/5

Yep, I ate a little bit. My dog loves the product. I was pleased to find the taste to be decent, especially when compared to big-name brands I've tried in the past. The girl used to eat in segments (a little here, a little there) but now she eats all of it in one sitting! I and my dog have now reached our fourth bag of this brand, which has now become our preferred brand.
The dog was absolutely delighted to eat canned moist from Whole Earth Farms in the dogs last two bags of food. For breakfast and lunch, she gets half a can of soup mixed with half a can of juice. The look on her face when she gets dry at dinner should tell you all what the meal is like. I love the look on her face--as if she were thinking "hey, where is the moist stuff?" Although she eats her dinner dry, she still does.

Are changes taking place in the line of chicken and turkey? The following information was updated on My three dogs seem to shed more than before when using this brand
3/5

I am convinced that Purina made changes to the formula when they took over this brand. Although my dogs are still eating it readily, the change in formulation does not justify the cost. This line has been in my shopping cart for a few Due to my observation of the following changes in my last two 25# bags of chicken & potatoes, I am docking 1 star to your supply rating The kibble is darker nowadays than it used to be when I had turkeys - A rounded shape is more rounded than a square one. There were some problems that I had to deal with Their bowls got covered with dust and dog saliva, which forced them to soak them. The dogs have been easy on this brand, as it is easy on the stomach. This makes them more difficult to pick up - There was almost a lot of roughage or filler in the composition. A bag of the duck kibble I purchased a while back appeared to be.

This is awful
3/5

The dog food my dogs ate until I bought it on Amazon is the same kind they ate before. It doesn't even look like the same product. I would ask for my money back if I could figure out how to return it. In the first shipment, everything went smoothly however, in the second shipment, everything went under the rails.

I strongly recommend that you don't buy

Since we've been using this brand of dog food for our dogs for years, we noticed that the kibble was different from our previous order. BRAND X is a brand you should avoid.
