Since I bought mine almost a year ago, I have used it at least once a day without any problems. Clip is strong and durable. Since my cat's other leash is only 4 feet long and it's not long enough to allow her good mobility, I got the red leash so I can see better, and I got the 6 foot because I like the fact that it's easier to see. never walks on a leash, so I don't want to restrict her in any way. 1) I do believe this leash would also be helpful for ferrets and other small animals. A wide 1" size is easier for me to grasp it makes it easier to hold on to it. Getting the 1" wide leash would be a good investment if your dog likes to pull.
