No matter what size dog you have, it will fit comfortably. As a part-time dog walker, I have all sizes and ages of dogs, but an extremely strong small dog gets pulled the most. Since the hook up on her collar is too small to use if the harness is not on, I usually have to hook the leash directly to the collar if her harness is not on.
Metal clips are used on these leashes, and they are black. Despite being well made, the leashes are quite heavy. Those were purchased for use in boarding kennels to facilitate the transfer of larger dogs. As well as being a nice length, they are also comfortable.

It's great to have these leashes! When it comes to pulling hard and powerful dogs, I like the rope style. I like that it has a sturdy hard wear and a comfortable handle. In addition to being very reflective at night, it also glows when the lights are turned on (see photo My only preference is for the dog and location to have a longer lead, but that depends on the dog and the location.
