Sorry, but I'm not familiar with the subject. Only the tiniest leash was purchased.
I'm not sure how much the clasp weighs in terms of danger; it's small and light. It's been over a year since I bought it, and it's perfect for my 12-pound chorki.

This leash is extremely soft and pliable! Most leather leashes I've owned were thick and stiff, owing to the use of heavily treated or fake "leather," as well as heavy, large clasps that were inconvenient for my small dog. This leash is made of natural leather, is thin and flexible, and has a small clasp that is appropriate for a small dog. This size leash is not recommended for a dog or cat that weighs more than 15 pounds or for a dog that chews on the leash. Also, because it is made of natural leather, it will require maintenance over time, particularly if used in the rain, but a simple leather or saddle soap should suffice. Keep in mind that because this is leather, it will come with a thin layer of oil on it. When you first open the package, the scent and feel of the oil and leather are very noticeable, but if you like natural leather, you'll enjoy it!.
For an Italian Greyhound puppy I'll be getting later this year, I needed something thin and light. This appears to be a good match for the job. Both the stitching and the leather appear to be in good condition. This is something I'm excited to use.
Leather leashes are far superior, and this one is ideal for our 7-pound dogs.
I bought this for a new Yorkie puppy that I'll be getting next month; he'll be 5 to 6 pounds when fully grown, so I wanted a leash that was nice and thin and not too heavy. With a tiny clasp for a tiny tyke and very thin, very soft leather, this fits the bill. For what I need it for, it's a fantastic value.
My Yorkiepoo has a need to "kill" her leash every time I put it on her, and she has done so for the past 14 years. During its 10-year lifespan, it annihilated a number of web-based applications A leather leash is a must, and the 6-foot version is my favorite. She enjoys the extra time because it gives her the opportunity to explore. This leash will get the job done.
It's fine for what it is, but I have a 12 pound dog, and this leash feels as if it could snap with a strong pull. When I bought it, I didn't pay enough attention to the width size. It appears to be of good quality, with a sturdy brass clasp, but I think a wider width would be preferable.
This leash's weight is perfect for me. It's enough for me and my well-behaved dog. It's lightweight and long enough to be useful. It was precisely what I had been looking for. The color appeals to me as well. This isn't a low-cost leash. A simple tug is all it takes for my dog to pick up on my commands.
We discovered that most leather leashes were too small for our Yorkshire terrier. This one caught my eye and I ordered it; it's perfect for our 7-pound yorkie, and it's very flexible and easy to use!.
