My rescue had been measured by the rescue and the size we bought was too big for its neck so we had to get a new one. It's fit for my new puppy, which is half the size of the dog I bought it for, and she wears a large everywhere else. I should have gotten a medium instead of a large because the sizing was too small. Since I was unable to put on my shoes, we never went for walks. I found this harness, and I'm so glad I did!
